Building Strong Communities Arts and culture, sports and recreation, local food systems, regional partnerships, diverse housing opportunities, and improved transportation and connectivity are the building blocks of a strong community. In the coming years, civic amenities, active transportation networks, and nutritious local food will become even more accessible to Kamloops residents. The City will continue to work in partnership with stakeholders to provide services, infrastructure, and programs that will support community health and wellness. We often work in partnership with Interior Health, the Kamloops branch of the RCMP, the Thompson-Nicola Regional District, the United Way Thompson-Nicola Cariboo, School District 73 and a wide range of other community organizations. Building a strong community takes a village, and we are doing it together.
