Plan your trip with BC Transit! Bus schedules and information at bctransit.com/kamloops. The Lansdowne Transit Exchange is located at the intersection of Lansdowne Street and 6th Avenue. Five bus routes loop through the downtown core (routes 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9), while five others pass through and loop on main streets (routes 1, 2, 3, 16, and 17).
By car
Following Tranquille Road, you can drive from the Kamloops Airport to our beautiful Downtown core in under 20 minutes. From the City of Vancouver, Highway 5 leads you into Kamloops. The drive is about 350km. From the west, the easiest way to reach the Downtown core is to use exit #369 and follow Columbia Street. An easy 3.3km from the highway.
By foot or on wheels
With parks, scenic trails, spacious sidewalks and roadways, you’ll find our downtown core is perfect for walking, running & cycling! Two of the main shared-lanes through Downtown Kamloops stretch from 1st and St. Paul Street to 8th Avenue, and from 8th and Nicola Street to 13th Avenue. Please remember no bikes or boards on the sidewalks!

MUSIC IN THE PARK
When summer hits, nothing feels better than spending some time in the outdoors. And if you want to relax, get some fresh air, and enjoy some great music, then Music in the Park is calling your name. Every night at 7 p.m. from July 1 through August 31, 2019 performers will fill the air with music at the Rotary Bandshell in Riverside park. And if you prefer to stick close to the North Shore, you can catch performances every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the McDonald Park Gazebo.
FARMER’S MARKET
There are few things better than fresh, local food, and few places better to find that than the Kamloops Farmer’s Markets. The market encourages and supports local production of food and provides an outlet for regional produce. Markets run on the 200 block of St Paul St. on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from April 20 to October 26 and on the 400 block of Victoria St. on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. from May 1 to October 30. There is also an indoor winter market at 159 Seymour St. on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from November 6 to December 18.

The days can get warm in Kamloops in the summer, but there’s nothing hotter than Hot Nite in the City on August 9, 10, and 11. Six city blocks in downtown Kamloops will be closed off for the annual show and shine. Check out street rods, custom, American muscle, sport-compact, tuners, British, European, Asian, collector, vintage, motorcycles, race, competition vehicles, and big rigs, along with live music and vendors. The KCBIA would like to say a big congratulations to the Hot Nite In The City Society as this year is their 25th Anniversary!
