at the BIG Little Science Centre

With a mission to develop a passion for science in our community, BIG Little Science Centre’s interactive exhibits allow you to connect with the phrase that “science is a verb.”

With hands-on exhibits, interactive shows, science programs and special activities, BIG Little Science Centre is sure to provide active science fun for people of all ages. Join our staff and volunteers as they share their enthusiasm about how this amazing world works.

In our convenient downtown location — in the former Value Village building at Seymour Street and Fifth Avenue — we are a not-for-profit charity and a tourist attraction with a twist. Our intimate atmosphere encourages your family to explore and discover physics, chemistry and biology. Stomp rockets, mini-tornadoes, rocks that glow, salmon and so much more are here for you to touch and try.

Science videos on our website demonstrate how to do many crazy science experiments at home. Check out the Facebook page that shares science from the community and the world, including more activities to try at home. Science is part of our whole world — engage and learn!

Interested in more science at home? Our Scienceto-Go Shop carries super exciting gifts for your budding scientist. How about a membership to the centre? Your support allows us to continue providing quality science experiences. You become a member of the Canadian Association of Science Centres, with free entry to science centres across Canada, including Science World in Vancouver.

Public guest hours are by appointment, Mondays to Saturdays, for a 90-minute visit. Please call to arrange your safe, private family visit.

School groups, day cares may book a visit to the centre or arrange for a visit to your school or a park.
