THE BIG LITTLE SCIENCE CENTRE WILL WOW YOU

There is always amazing fun, hands-on exhibits, interactive shows, science programs and special activities at the BIG Little Science Centre, where you can join the friendly, knowledgeable staff and volunteers in exploring and discovering all kinds of science.

An intimate atmosphere encourages families to try out activities about physics, chemistry and biology. Magnetism, balldrops, mini tornadoes, rocks that glow and so much more are there for you to touch and try. Conveniently located downtown, at Seymour Street and Fifth Avenue, the BIG Little Science Centre is a tourist attraction and a not-for-profit charity, with a twist.

Its mission is to “develop a passion for science in our community” and the science centre’s interactive exhibits soon prove that “science is a verb”. The Micro Science Store carries fun, exciting gifts for all budding scientists and membership benefits include free or discounted entry to science centres across Canada, including Science World in Vancouver.

The BIG Little Science Centre is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drop in for a visit or call to book your event. School groups and daycares are invited to book a visit during the week. The science centre’s Facebook page shares science from the community and the world, including activities to try at home. Science is everywhere — engage and learn.
