KINDER KAMP We are taking Kinder Kamp Registrations for the 2013 Kamp. Kinder Kamp is for all children who will be attending Kindergarten in the fall of 2013-2014. Kamp is August 13-14-15th. Applications are in the Lobby of the Fairview school. Kinder Kamp meets for either two hours in the morning from 9-11 or in the evening from 5:30-7:30. Parents attend Kinder Kamp with their child each of the three days for part of the time. Parents will have a chance to get their questions answered and spend some time in the classroom with their child. There is a $10 fee but scholarships are available. Kinder Kamp will give your child a chance to get to know their Kindergarten teacher and other children in their class. DEAN D. HENDRICKS Dean Delano Hendricks of Mora died peacefully at home on Friday, May 24, 2013. He was 77 years old. He was born on June 10, 1935 to Olaf and Ida (Byers) Hendricks in Isanti. He grew up in the Cambridge-Isanti area and attended school in Isanti. On Aug. 29, 1953 he was united in marriage to Joanne Okerstrom at the South Isanti Baptist Church. They made their home in Isanti and it was there that they raised their four children. He worked at the Isanti Creamery for a short time and then began working at Consolidated Freightways Trucking Company. After working for several years at Consolidated Freightways, he started in 1968 for the CambridgeIsanti School District No. 911 as the transportation director. He

retired in June of 1996. The winter months were spent in Arizona. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lois Bjorklund, Ila Cochran, Leona Forsberg and brothers, Everett and Laurel. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joanne (this Aug. 29 would have been 60 years); children, Barb (Mike) White, Bryan (Terri) Hendricks, Daryl Hendricks, Deb Andrews (Paul Pruin); grandchildren, Keri, Brian, Nate, Heidi, Kellie, Mindy, Jennie and Jocelyn; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Emaley, Halley, Kody, Bella, Mya and Caden and brother, Quentin. A celebration of life service was held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at South Isanti Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Bohachek and Rev. Robert Venneman officiating. Pallbearers were David Ahlman, Art Guthrie, Wade Lucking, Joe Raiolo, Dennis Simonson and Brian White. Honorary pallbearers were Charlie Hirsch and Ronnie Wick. Burial was in Isanti Union Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel.

ERNEST MICHAEL GUNDERSON 12/10/1953  05/29/2013 Beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, and friend, Ernie was a S. Mpls resident, born in Rochester, and raised on a dairy farm between east and west Rush Lake. He graduated from Rush City HS (1972) and St. Cloud State Univ (1977). Creativity in mechanical design led to a 25-year engineering career at Lowry Computer Products, Fargo Electronics, MCT, and Nortronics Inc. An interest in emotional healing led to a second career in social work, with an MSW from St. Catherine Univ (2011). A passion for writing and family history resulted in publishing a memoir about his mother’s life. His delight in people and relationships made him a valued

He especially loved nature, outdoor recreation, reading to children, and dancing. He survived Hodgkins lymphoma as a young man and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Sept 2011. He was preceded in death by siblings Elaine and Kenneth and his mother Mary. He is survived by wife Becky Hanson and stepchildren Robin Garwood and Abbey Hanson, father Gordon, siblings David, Margaret (Mell), Carol (Nelson), Eunice (Collette), Marlon, Milton, Geoffrey, and Paula (Ellison) and 17 well-loved nieces and nephews, whom he took camping, canoeing, and traveling for many years. Celebrate his life Fri. June 7 at Hamline United Methodist Church, 1514 Englewood Ave, St. Paul. Visitation 4pm, service 5pm, dinner 6:30pm. Memorials preferred to Walker Community United Methodist Church, Mpls Audubon Chapter, and Our Lady of Peace Hospice. Our family thanks the hospice for loving care. Private interment at a later date.
