We, the Mora Schools Board of Education, thank the members of the Long Range Facilities Task Force for their commitment to our school and community. We appreciate the time and thought they put into the process that resulted in a recommendation for improving our ur school facilities. facilitie The Task Force Members are: Robin Bliss Elaine Keehr Bruce Burk Paul Kent Carol Fackler Joe Mulford Mike Fetzek Dean Randt Pat Gorham Randy Reynolds

Dan Schmoll Lee Stenstrom Daryl Swenson Wade Weber

The Board and Task Force last met on June 24th to review and make final decisions d i i concerning the prescription and the price of the recommendation. Over a two hour period, a number of potential options were discussed and consensus was reached. The project was to include: • moving Fairview Elementary School to the Trailview site, to include 62,500 square feet of new construction, and an allocation for potential demolition • repairing/replacing the Trailview School roof • capital improvements to include selected window and HVAC replacement/repair at Mora High School • technology infrastructure upgrades • site preparation and field work including: parking, access, storm drainage and relocation of 3 softball fields and 8 tennis courts. This would have resulted in a total cost of $19.6 million, taking into account an inflation rate of 4% as well as all financial costs. At the School Board meeting on June 26th, the Board further discussed the recommendation as well as suggestions and feedback from community members. The final resolution adopted by the School Board dedicates projected operational cost savings of $130,000 per year for 10 years to pay for the Trailview roof repair and replacement. The final adopted resolution reads: • moving Fairview Elementary School to the Trailview site, to include 62,500 square feet of new construction, and an allocation for potential demolition • operational savings of $130,000 per year for 10 years totaling $1.3 million, to be dedicated to repairing/replacing the Trailview School roof • capital improvements to include selected window and HVAC replacement/repair at Mora High School • technology infrastructure upgrades • site preparation and field work including: parking, access, storm drainage and relocation of 3 softball fields and 8 tennis courts. This adjusts the total cost down by $1.2 million for a total not to exceed $18.4 million. This is the result of over two months worth of work donated to the betterment of our schools. Again, on behalf of the Mora School Board, Thank You for your part in bringing the plan and final resolution to adoption. Your School Board of Education: Karen Kirschner, Ethan Elvehjem, Rich Schultz, Doyle Casavant, Jinx Greski, and Scott Moe

THANK YOU The family of Franci Nelson wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you for all of the many expressions of love and sympathy from our friends and family and the community at the time of Franci’s passing. The many cards, flowers, memorials and all of the support were greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Minnesota Oncology, Dr. Leach, Bryn and all of the rest of the chemotherapy department and staff for the compassionate care that Franci received during her journey. We also want to thank FirstLight Health System for the additional care and treatment she received there. In her final days, Franci received wonderful “comfort care” from the Kanabec County Hospice team and we are all forever grateful for their support and guidance at that time. The service for Franci was a beautiful tribute to her life. We want to especially acknowledge Dr. William C. Ankerberg for an uplifting and meaningful service that truly celebrated her life, as well as the others that spoke so beautifully and read poetry in Franci’s honor. The music was inspiring and added so much to the service; so thank you to Susan Williams, Jerome Carlson, Barb Seaton and Randi Lind for providing the beautiful music as well as Jim Williams for the bagpipes at the end. Thank you to Grace Lutheran for the use of their beautiful church. Thank you also to the Emmanuel Baptist Church ladies for organizing, preparing and serving the delicious lunch following the service. Finally, thank you to Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home for making a difficult time easier for our family to bear. Your attention to detail and thoughtfulness around each situation helped us create a beautiful experience for everyone to honor and celebrate Franci’s life. We are so grateful for each person that honored Franci by coming to her visitation and service. We are so touched by each of you and your presence in her life. May God bless all of you for the kindness and love shown to us at this time. With love and gratitude Pete Nelson, Matt Nelson, Sara & Steve Caputo, Thelma & Elmer Olds, Arlie & Bill Ankerberg
