Last week, the Kanabec History Center hosted a free Summer Art collaborative project for the kids of Kanabec County. Five picnic tables on the History Center’s campus were transformed into works of art. The young artists worked together to map out designs on the tables with painter’s tape and then colored the remaining spaces with recycled paint.
Kizzy Hamilton. Th is event would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of community members donating paint, the board members of the Kanabec History Center helping to get the picnic tables paint-ready, and the 22 amazing artists who participated in refreshing this little bit of history.

To our valued family and friends, We are so thankful for your help, prayers, cards, texts, meals, watering, lawn mowing and support following my motorcycle accident. We truly couldn’t have progressed to this stage in the healing process without you. It reminded us once again that though life brings unexpected and often seemingly unwelcome turns of events, we realize how much learning we gain during the steeper climbs asked of us. Thank you, each of you, for your acts of kindness. May you be blessed and know how much you each matter. With love and grateful hearts, Greg and Deb Yankowiak
