DON’T MISS IT…

Residents of the Mora School District:

From the beginning, the intent has been to have as many involved in the discussion as we possibly can in order to have broad representation from District residents. Notices were placed in the local newspapers inviting all to attend the recent public meetings. To everyone who came forward when we asked for input, thank you for your involvement and ideas. Many thoughts and suggestions were heard through the process that ultimately led to the decision by the Board to propose the building plan that was put to a vote on August 14.

J&M Glass & Small Engine Repair Get your fall fixin’ at J&M Glass and Small Engine Repair Fall is here and with fall comes needed repair on windows and screens. Leave it up to the professionals at J&M Glass and Small Engine Repair in Mora to get your fall fixin’ in. J&M Glass can make custom-made screens, repair old screens or even rescreen. J&M Glass is now in its new location north of the Power Lodge in Mora since last May. Owner John Rodenborg said it is very important for people to get their windows and screens fixed before flies and other pesky pests try and enter a customer’s home. “People can either bring in their old screens to get repaired or we can make them a new one,” said Rodenborg. There are two types of screens J&M Glass uses, aluminum or fiberglass. Rodenborg said they can even paint the frames to whatever color the customer wants.

“I usually send them to the hardware store to pick out the color and then I will paint them,” he said. Besides fixing screens, fall is a great time for customers to repair storm windows and replace thermal panes, as well as start talking about wood stove and/ or fireplace replacement safety glass. J&M Glass has four different kinds of safety glass customers can purchase. Small engine repair, lawn and garden equipment repair and mirror repair work are a few other services J&M Glass provides. They are located on 100 Oak Street in Mora, just north of the Power Lodge along State Highway 65. Rodenborg has been in business for 23 years and currently has one parttime employee. To contact J&M Glass and Small Engine Repair call 320-679-3210 or 320-385-0484 and ask for John.

One year has passed since losing my fun-loving daughter, Pam Rohde-O’Brien. Pam, somehow you must have known the Lord would call you early. So you had to live your life to the fullest and get as much out of life as you could before the Lord called you home. Pam, you were always there for your mom, sisters, nieces, nephews and everyone else. You had the biggest heart and smile for everyone. We all miss you every minute, hour and day. DELBERT M. HARRON Delbert Morris Harron of Brook Park died on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 at his home in Brook Park. He was 60 years old. He was born on Nov. 19, 1951 in St. Paula to parents, Joseph and Jeannette (Walker) Harron. As a young child, the family moved to Colorado where he attended Sterling and Merino Schools. In his teenage years he helped his father do scrap iron work. While in Colorado he met Judith Ann Yaraborough. The couple was united in marriage on Aug. 28, 1969 in Salinas, Calif. The couple raised their three children, Tammy Ann, Steve and Ronnie in California. From 1969 to 1987 he was a member of the Teamsters Union and worked as a supervisor in the frozen foods industry. In February of 1987 his wife died away after battling cancer. He and the kids moved to Grasston to be closer to family. He worked odd jobs until

1989 when he began his career with Pentair Tech Products as a fabricator. He continued to work until declining health forced him to retire in April of 2012. He was a hard worker, but loved to spend his free time with his sons working on hot rods and cars. He enjoyed collecting rare coins and was a huge Elvis fan. He collected memorabilia and Elvis music in record, 8-track, tapes and CD form. Most of all he loved his family. He enjoyed many family dinners and breakfasts with his parents, siblings and children. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith and brother, Wayne. He is survived by children, Tammy Ann Harron of California, Steve (Steph) Harron of Braham and Ronnie (Lisa Deose) Harron of Brook Park; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sibling, Allen (Julie) Harron of Grasston, Don (Debbie) Harron of Hennriette, Jean (James) Gudmundson of Barnum and Joyce Harron of Cloquet; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. A memorial visitation was held on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at the Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora. Arrangements were by the Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral Home of Mora.
