OCT. 3 Suicide Loss Group This is an open support group where people can speak confidentially about the shattered grief that they may be experiencing. The group meets the first Thursday of each month from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran of Brunswick, facilitated by Pastor Lori Blake who has also had the experience of a loved one dying by suicide. For more information and directions call 679-2015. THANK YOU Benefit for Brady - all of you made our day! We want to thank everyone for your invaluable help and support over the past several months. We are so grateful for the dedicated family and friends who planned, organized and worked for Brady’s behalf at Saturday’s benefit. A warm thank you to so many businesses, organizations and people who gave so generously. All individuals who’ve been involved in our 2013 journey are truly a blessing! Team Anderson Christmas programs, attended LCW and Bible study and was a member of the Archives Committee. She enjoyed baking, sewing, reading and talking and laughing with family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her granddaughters, Jenny and Gracie. She was very proud of them and was always happy to share pictures or stories about what they were up to. She was preceded in death by husband, Irvin Pearson; parents, B.P. and Alfhild (Blomberg) Carlson; brothers, Ernest and Eldon Carlson; sisters, Viola Krekelberg, Mildred Ostenson, Mavis Marquart and Elaine Strombeck. She is survived by daughter, Joanne Richards of Hinckley; granddaughters, Jenny and Gracie Richards of Hinckley; eight nieces; seven nephews; five cousins in Iowa and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Mora with Rev. Douglas Larson officiating. Music was provided by Betty Smith, Jenny Richards and Fred Lyon. Pallbearers were Brian Marquart, Keith Strombeck, David Ostenson, James Burnett, Duane Barn and Robert Letich. Honorary pallbearers were James Ostenson, Kenneth Ostenson, John Ostenson, Kenneth Peterson and David Carlson. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements by DresserMethven Funeral Home.

Grant Surveys We would like to thank all those customers of Mora Municipal Utilities that returned a survey for the city’s wastewater treatment grant application. We did get a fair return, but we still need about 50 more surveys to make our application as strong as it can be. If you did not return a survey please do so today. If you misplaced yours, you can print one by going to the city’s website at www.ci.mora.mn.us or get one by stopping in at city hall. Thank you very much. Your participation can help save money for all of us.
