To the editor, My best friend Adam Hufstedler was rushed to a hospital in the cities. He was found to have severe heart damage. Adam underwent open heart surgery, and an exterior heart pump was installed. If the heart pump is successful, he may be eligible for a heart transplant. He is still in critical condition, and if he survives, he will never work again. Adam, his fiancée Mary and their 2 children, Devon and Hannah will have no income, because Social Security Disability will not be active for at least another 4 months. Currently, they have no income for food, bills, or commuting to the hospital in the cities. Please help this family in great need. There is a donation account open at People’s Bank of Mora. A benefit is set to be scheduled in the next 30 days. Thank you and God bless. Tom Ladwig Sr., Kroschel, MN

THANK YOU We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the expressions of sympathy, memorials, flowers, cards and visits as we mourn the loss of Stanley Mathison. He was a loving husband of 58 years, a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. A special thank you to Pastor Dean for the service, Akkermans for the arrangements, the Calvary ladies for preparing the lunch and Mike Nelson and Sonja Cole for the music. A thank you also to our friends, relatives and neighbors who attended the service and shared their special memories of Stanley. Thank you also to FirstLight Hospital, St. Clare’s Rehab, Hospice and all who cared for Stanley during his battle with cancer. The compassion and kindness shown him will always be remembered. We would like to thank the Rick Mattson family and friends who did the splitting of the logs which Stanley could no longer do. Also, those who brought food to the house. The many prayers and the love shown to Stanley and family was deeply felt and greatly appreciated. Lois Vicki and Dave Steve and Karen Kevin and Julie Grandchildren and greatgrandchildren
OPEN HOUSE FOR ALLEN JOHNSON’S 90TH BIRTHDAY An open house will be held in honor of Allen C. Johnson’s 90th birthday from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Rock Creek City Center. No local invitations have been sent. Let your presence be your gift. THANK YOU Thank you St. Jude. I believe. RML
THANK YOU Lillian Reiser’s family would like to thank everyone for flowers, plants, cards and memories shared. Our thanks to Swanson Funeral Chapel for making the arrangements. Thanks to Monsignor Aleksander Suchan and Deacon Mark Pulkrabek for the prayer service and mass. Thank you to the St. Joseph’s Church ladies for the wonderful dinner and to all that brought food. Lillian’s family IN LOVING MEMORY OF RONALD RONNIE JAMES COX FEB. 12, 1958 JULY 31, 2012
Although we can’t explain to others the pain of how our hearts still ache, Our life feels empty and lonely without him here; If love alone could have saved him he would still be here, But we know God has him, and he’ll always be here, in our hearts. Love forever, Annette, Niki and Bre Cox
