IN LOVING MEMORY OF MSGT DANIEL L. FEDDER The worst day of our lives was undoubtedly your best, The day that the Father took you home to rest.

We planned to have you in our lives so much longer, but you always did say, What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. Two years have gone by, It still doesn’t seem real, So our memories of you are what must help us heal. My heart breaks daily when I picture your face, but I try to remember that you’re in a better place. You’ll always be loved by so many hearts that you won. Semper Fi Brave Marine! Another Job Well Done! Still missed so much by, Mom & Dad, Nick & Paula and your Diana

OGILVIE CORN ON THE CURB The annual Ogilive Corn on the Curb event is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 24 in downtown Ogilvie from 4 - 7:30 p.m. Mark the date to join the fun. THANK YOU Derek Rootkie and family would like to sincerely thank the community, family, and friends for the enormous outpour of prayers, best wishes, and generous donations. It has meant so much knowing that Derek has so many people who care for him and his family. Words cannot show our appreciation enough! Thank you. Derek Rootkie and Family THANK YOU Our family’s strength was tested early this spring. Our loved one, Derek, was diagnosed with (AML) Leukemia. Since this spring, we have seen family, friends and a number of small town communities come together to rally support for one special young man. Thanks to prayers, thoughts, posters and words we have Derek’s slogans, “Stay Strong” and “I can beat this” coursing through our minds and spirits. Our family pulled together to put on a benefit on Sunday, Aug. 12 to help Derek with his expenses. We would like to THANK all of those involved in volunteering from selling tickets, giving donations, collecting silent auction items, making gift baskets and volunteering their help during the benefit. A special thanks to our Benefit MC, Bob Martin. We would also like to thank the Chris Brooks Band and Woody (from the Rockin Hollywoods) who donated their time and entertainment for the benefit. We could not have had this benefit if it was not for the support of our local American Legion Post #51. Our family would like to say “Thank You” and how honored we all are to live in such a great community. God Bless and Thank You to All, Paul Rootkie IRENE B. BARTON

Irene B. (Sheeley) Barton died peacefully at home, from kidney failure on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, surrounded by loved ones. She was 79 years old. She was born in a big old country farm house on June 22, 1933, south of Isle to Morris and Doris Sheeley. She graduated from Isle High in 1951. After business school in the Twin Cities, she worked as a teletype operator in Chicago where she met her husband, Robert L. Barton Sr. of Biloxi, Miss. They were united in marriage at the Isle Baptist Church on Aug. 24, 1952. They had four children whom she loved with all her heart and soul. She had several different jobs; waitressing, cleaning lady, school bus driver and cooking and managing school cafeterias.

50TH ANNIVERSARY OPEN HOUSE FOR RICHARD AND RETTA NELSON A 50th anniversary celebration for Richard and Retta Nelson will take place from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Rock Creek Community Center. No presents please. THANK YOU The family of Bea Wiechman would like to thank everyone for all their help with Bea during her illness and at the time of her death. Thank you for all the prayers, visits, hugs, cards, memorials, flowers and food. Thank you to the staff at Grace Pointe Crossing for taking such good care of Mom, to the Zion Lutheran Church men and women who served the delicious lunch after the funeral and to the Pine City VFW Auxiliary ladies for their presence at the service. Thank you to the Flower Box for the beautiful flowers, Brady Helseth and Dan Rinden for all their help and all the traveling they had to do. Also, we wanted to thank Katy Ovick for playing the organ, Debra Taylor for singing one of Mom’s favorite songs, and Pastor Kleppe and his sons John, David and Nathan for their beautiful singing. A very special thank you to Pastor and Linda Kleppe for always being there for Mom all these years, comforting, encouraging and helping to strengthen her faith in Jesus. It reminds us of a verse in the Bible, 1 Thessalonians 3:9. How we thank God for you! For because of you we have great joy as we enter God’s presence. Sincerely, Bea Wiechman’s family

She bore the burden of dialysis for more than seven years. Her son, Casey, faithfully took her every other day to dialysis. If not for him she would never have lived this long or this well. Being a born again Christian she “believed” and devoted her life to Christ. For over 20 years she led a ladies’ Sunday School class. While we miss her immensely, we can but rejoice at her leaving for her heavenly home. We will always miss you and love you Momma and await the day we will meet you on the “Heavenly Shore.” She was preceded in death by husband, Robert L Barton, Sr.; daughter, Kristine Barton Wilkie; parents, Morris and Doris Sheeley; brother, Dave Sheeley and little brother, Gerald Sheeley (3). She is survived by children, Lee (Janet) Barton, Devan (Creig B.) Griffin and Casey Barton; sister, Marlene (Sheeley) Lilyerd of Mora and her sons, Jerry (Faye), Kent (Jana), Tom (Lynn) and their children; sister-in-law, Caroline Sheeley and her children, Lynette (David) Triebwasser, Cindy (Rick) Mace, Kevin (Kitty) Sheeley and Kyle Sheeley. Cremation being her choice, a memorial service is planned for later this month at Big Ridge Baptist Church in Biloxi, Miss. There will also be a memorial service for her in Isle at the Isle Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 13.
