Make a Bowl
Let your creative juices flow! Join us for the Make a Set of Bowls class where you can explore new horizons, craft your own unique bowl set, and hang out with a bunch of fun-loving artists. Over two nights, you'll learn the art of hand-building and glazing, all under the guidance of local potter, Courtney Zimmerman. Make a Vase
Ready to get your hands dirty? Join forces with local potter extraordinaire, Courtney Zimmerman, for a two-night workshop where you'll craft your very own vase. On night one, get your hands in the clay and shape your masterpiece. Come back for round two and glaze your vase with a stunning palette of colors. All the tools and materials you need will be waiting for you, just bring your imagination and an apron to look the part! For ages 18+. Indoor Pickleball League
Adult Softball Leagues
Join in on the fun of our Indoor Pickleball league! New in 2023 we are bringing an Indoor Pickleball League to our seasonal Rec Center courts. Starting January 5, the KVPD Rec Center we will be expanding the fun of our indoor pickleball open play into a league format where teams of two will compete in a fun and competitive environment. Teams of two will compete in 8 regular season games over a 4-week period followed by a single elimination tournament. League will be doubles format and team can consist of a single gender or mixed gender. Each team player will receive a KVPD Pickleball Shirt. This League is intended for those who play pickleball recreationally.
The change in the weather means it's time for Spring Slow Pitch Softball at the River Road Sports Complex! Teams will play 8 regular season games followed by a double elimination tournament. Each team will play a double header each night. The deadline to register for all below leagues is March 17. SAVE $50 BY REGISTERING EARLY! ENDS MARCH 10.

Fitness Chair Yoga
Ping Pong Open Play
Chair Yoga is a gentle yoga offering that is appropriate for nearly everyone. Modifications are offered throughout the class, allowing each student to progress at their own pace. All yoga exercises and postures will be done seated in a chair or standing, using the chair to aid with support and balance. This class will focus on breath, mind & body awareness as well as connection to your inner self. Increase balance, flexibility and strength. Reduce stress and leave class feeling calm and at peace.
Table tennis is an Olympic and world championship sport utilizing a ball and paddle, played on a flat table divided into two equal courts by a net fixed across its width at the middle. The lightweight hollow ball is volleyed back and forth across the net by small paddles held by the players. It can be played as a singles or doubles game. Beginners and advanced players of all ages are welcome!
Taught by Jeanna Vent. For ages 16+. Class meets at the KVPD Rec Center (150 N. Indiana Ave. in Kankakee).

Family Pickleball 101 Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the nation. This cross generational sport is fun for the whole family but can also be very competitive. Adult Learn to Skate
This program introduces the beginner adult skater to the basics of skating at Ice Valley Centre Ice Arena. As skaters advance, new and exciting skills such as jumps, spins, footwork and artistic elements will be introduced. This class also promotes physical fitness and improves balance and coordination while learning proper skating techniques. Divided into six levels, adult skaters will progress at an individual rate while being challenged and motivated. For ages 13+. All weekly classes are 45 minutes of instructional time and skate rental is included. A Learn to Skate USA Membership is required. *Please note: this is only a 6 week session. No classes May 11 due to the Spring Ice Show.
