Philanthropy New Year, New Cause

From puppy kissing booths to pancake breakfasts, chapters have been hard at work all year to raise money for this year’s National Philanthropy – the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Headquartered in New York City, the ASPCA’s mission is the prevention of animal cruelty and homelessness. It is the first humane society founded in North America, as well as one of the largest in the world. The ASPCA works to rescue animals, find forever homes for furry friends, and work with lawmakers to create legislation to protect animals. As is Kappa tradition, a check will be presented at the Black and Gold Awards Banquet at #KappaCon16. We’ll share how much our sisterhood raised via social media for those not able to attend, as well as announce the new National Philanthropy for 2016-2017!
