Firstly, What is Color Psychology, and How Does it Relate to Branding?
The color(s) you use in your branding subconsciously communicate a specific message to your audience about who you are, what you do, and what working with you will be like?
Everyone has at least one color that resonates most with their personality, and is ideal to use in their branding. When you take color psycholog y into consideration when creating your brand, you end up with something that resonates with you and your ideal audience, and allows you to feel confident showing up as the leader of your brand.
Color plays an incredibly important role in how your brand is perceived, how you show up as the face of your brand and the type of clients you attract . Beyond just providing a nice visual, each color (and sometimes, different shades of each color) has a personality type and “vibe” to it.
When you choose brand colors that resonate with who you are and the type of business you’re building, you will start to feel confident showing up as the face of your brand and putting yourself out there for new opportunities.
Each color personality has a range of traits, strengths, weaknesses, preferences, and even interpretations.
So, let’s see what color we will pick based on color pyschology and what are the attributes behind it.....
Firstly, Let’s explain why the color ‘Purple’ was chosen to represent our brand.
You may have learned in history class that purple is associated with royalty. For centuries, purple dye was rare and extremely expensive and therefore only affordable for the most wealthy and royalty. Countries throughout the world use the colour purple to indicate honour, courage, royalty, leadership, faith and sacredness .
Physiologically, it heightens people’s sense of beauty and their reaction to more creative ideas.
Purple is a color that rarely appears in nature, and when it does, it appears in small amounts. The earliest purple dyes date to 1900 BC, where it’s estimated it required up to 10,000 shellfish to extract the amount used to dye a Roman toga.
The dye, called Tyrian purple dye, became worth more than its weight in gold. With limited purple dye resources, the color was associated with the extremely wealthy and powerful, and emperors, kings, and queens quickly adopted purple as a color that represented nobility.
Even though purple is available to the masses today, the color still carries a deep association with royalty and luxury. In fact, Queen Elizabeth chose the color for some of the tickets to her coronation in 1953.
And that’s why we will chose the PURPLE COLOR to represent our brand identity. As we will be inspiring Royalty, Confidence, Loyalty, Intelligence, Trustowrthiness, Dependability, Leadership, and Professionalism through the selected Purple shades. As well as showing Energy, Excitement, and Passion.

Color Psychology
Refering back to the logo brief regarding the brand color which will be ‘Purple’ ; we will find out that the purple is used due to its universal meanings such as Royalty, Luxury, Creativity, Honour, and Leadership. The used shade of purple is reflecting these attributes. Adding to this that shade of Grey, we will be adding neutrality and balance. Maturity, Seriousness, and Stability; makes Grey raises the trust level needed to represent our brand identity.
