Together towards a new Era :) Sep. 24
Motivation letter Dear BSSS Family, I would like to present myself for the LORA position in BSSS for the year 2012/2013 because I see in myself the competency to add to our lovely BSSS-family work & to improve our efforts in serving the community specially through my favorite committee SCORA by improving awareness about reproductive health & AIDS fighting for women s rights by changing faulty beliefs & by helping improve their health with projects like Breast cancer awareness & by introducing new projects to help improving community awareness about many issues related to women & reproductive health which I believe is a very important issue if we are really serious to improve our community after the revolution . I believe that there is no way to improve our great country to regain its position & to be a civilized country if we ignored the rule of serious NGOs & ignored community awareness which changes the true reason for our problems in Egypt which is ignorance & faulty beliefs So I am asking you kindly to accept my efforts & give me the chance to try to do my best for improving my community & my country in the field & the way I am interested in & I am qualified for. Yours sincerely,

Plan of Action My POA depends mainly on certain principles that were insured in BSSS all over time & many steps have been taken to improve their value every year. These principles are: -
DEMOCRACY. NEW MEMBERS R THE FURURE. OLD ARE THE GOLD. QUALITYYYYYYYYYYYYY. CREATIVITY. NATIONAL RELATIONS ARE KEY FOR GOOD POSITION NATIONALLY. THE SPIRIT OF ONE FAMILY ... ONE AIM
So to make this my POA is to do
Nationally: 1. Acting hard to ensure having at least one national coordinator from BSSS for one of the national SCORA projects “till nowi suggest running for WAC & breast cancer & FGM N.C as we have already experienced members in these projects”. 2. Working hard with other board members & through our national relations with National SCORA team to put a very tight plan to host a national SCORA event at BSSS. 3. Arranging for semi national projects with other LCs & improving our relation in SCORA national team to guarantee a good reputation & position for our lovely LC in next SCORA national team. 4. Attending national events & encouraging members to share in it to strengthen national relations & get involved in everything about SCORA on the national level & to qualify members to understand SCORA work on the national level & to understand our external relations with other LCs.

5. Working with the national SCORA team to discuss the national SCORA-Ex & acting hard to ensure choosing BSSS as a hosting LC for incomings if national SCORA-Ex was conducted. 6. Introducing one local project nationally after introducing it locally & proving its success.
Local Level: 1. Adoption of internal local SCORA Guidelines on a democratic way to ensure the value of clarity & democracy from the 1st day of work. My suggestions for improvement of SCORA: a) Giving a bonus for members who introduce newideas. b) Choosing SCORA projects’ manager before each GA to be responsible for the whole progress of SCORA projects & to observe & evaluate & introduce a monthly report about our projects. c) Setting up SCORA reporting form to make it more easy & less time consuming for SCORA members to report their work efficiently & effectively. d) Setting up a system of monthly reports for all SCORA members introduced during our monthly meeting to dicuss & observe weaknesses & strengthens in the whole team members to be able to correct it by trainings, discussions or direct observation of their work later. e) Introducing an internal bylawby handover checklist for Coordinators, LORA & all task holders to ensure proper handover on all levels of SCORA work. f) Introducing an internal guideline for local coordinator to choose an assistant from the newmembers to teach them. 2. Arranging for a meeting in SCORA or even arranging for a big meeting with other committees to clarify everything about the newconstitution & bylaws &

explaining the points related to members duties & tasks to new members to make them oriented about official issues from the start to avoid any misunderstanding or any conflict due to officials. 3. Introducing at least one newproject to SCORA & doing the best to introduce it nationally by the end of the 2012/ 2013 working year & encouraging all members to introduce newprojects to SCORA & BSSS & helping them manage this by holding a training about project management & howto set up a project. 4. Working with other committees’ local officers to ensure cooperation between SCORA & them to improve our projects performance & helping improve other committees projects by arranging possible ways to integrate our projects together to ensure covering more aspects of the same issue , this is my overview of our cooperation with other committees: a) Integrating all our projects with the Human rights project. b) integrating Mr. & Mrs. breastestis & FGM with medical convoys of SCOPH c) integrating WAC project with blood donation campaigns d) arranging with other LO & board to integrate diff projects together to cover more aspects of the issue e) arranging with other board for the idea of a project fair & an open day for all BSSS projects in the faculty 5. Publications: a) working with PSD team for more effective & creative publication materials b) increasing our publication for SCORA inside the faculty & on internet to gather more members & reach more audiences c) working with fund raising team to get a sponsor for all our materials & projects d) train members on advocacy to be qualified to talk about our issues anywhere acting like a traveling publication materials 6. Arranging a special training about creativity & thinking out of the box to improve the way we do our projects by introducing newideas & reward

creative members by giving them priorities for the positions of coordinators & choosing one of them to be the project manager every GA. 7. Caring about efficacy & quality & dealing with the problem of quality versus quantity: a) Solving the problem of time overlap between diff. projects to give each project its own time to be prepared for efficiently. b) Changing the routine methods we conduct our projects. c) Setting up an evaluation team for our projects to report about defects in our work to be avoided again. d) Making a data base for SCORA to report the way we conducted our projects to be able for the next generations to learn from it & to avoid repeating it in the same way & to avoid our mistakes. 8. Dealing with the fundraising issue as a critical issue & one of my targets to get more funds for all our projects through acting personally with our fundraising team & treasurer. 9. Taking advice of my Ex-LORA about his experience & continuing his efforts in SCORA & ensuring his strong points & discussing his faults with him sincerely to have his opinion on howto avoid them during my work.
Members & work: 1. Ensuring cooperation between SCORA team & removing any barrier against harmony & team work. 2. Insuring activity of young members & qualifying them to be valid for LORA position next year by getting them involved in everything in the committee & encouraging them to work by motivating them with showing great respect to their efforts to make them love the atmosphere of SCORA. 3. Supporting the SCORA team by newmembers “ I will introduce at least 5 newmembers this year & making it a duty of every old member in the

SCORA team to teach a newmember something about our work in SCORA specially & in BSSS generally by making bonus for this in the guidelines “ check guidelines point , handover guideline issue “ . Introducing a newinternal guideline to SCORA team that the local coordinator of any project in SCORA should choose an assistant from young & newmembers that hasn’t been coordinators before or hasn’t got their full membership yet to insure proper training of young & new members & putting this in our new internal guidelines “ check the guidelines point “. Supporting all members to gain score of full member & a part of my final goal is to make at least 50%of SCORA associate members be full members in BSSS by distributing tasks between all members to insure that all of them has worked & not to put load on only fewmembers & leaving the others without tasks. Arranging a lot of trainings to newmembers to ensure qualifying them for work & for old members to help them improve their performance by arranging such trainings locally & by supporting members to attend national trainings & trying to save some fund from the committee’s projects to support members pay for accommodation for important trainings that would put the name of BSSS above other LCs. Encouraging SCORA members to take place in other committees to gain more experience & to help in helping community in other means outside SCORA projects & making it one of the important criteria when choosing Local coordinators to encourage members to take place in other committee’s projects to insure cooperation & the soul of one family. Rebuilding SCORAlecious spirit to regain SCORA reputation of fun & hard work together & to make members like the work in SCORA again . Finally, insuring the value of equality, cooperation, friendship & brotherhood between all members & improving the belief in our slogan “BSSS, One family… One aim. “& making it our goal to build the strongest family ever.
