Karen Barker specialized in the residential real estate markets of Blowing Rock and Boone. Her success underlies an unflagged devotion in serving her clients’ interests. Two guiding principles guide Karen’s commitment to her clients. First education: about the area, the comparable sales, and the process. She believes that educating buyers and sellers creates a team effort and confident clients. Second, Karen sees herself as a concierge level service professional. Commitment to clients does not end at closing, from scheduling inspections, to providing local insight to service professionals. Karen has two children, Jackson and Suzanne, and three dogs. She participates in the Blowing Rock Leadership Challenge and sponsors Black and Gold dinner at the Blowing Rock Wine Festival. In most cases agents in our area will send out an MLS link if a potential client request information about their listing. White Glove Showing Experience As a leader in high end marketing, I have been offering a uniquely professional showing day experience. I will arrive before the scheduled showing, open all window coverings turn on all lights and adjust heating or air conditioning for comfort. Additionally, I will turn on any sound system, fountains, hot tubs, or other amenities for best showing appeal. I will give a guided tour of your home pointing out unique features, electronics/security systems, and exotic or specimen building materials. Antidotes of your family enjoying of the home helps the potential buyer see how they would use the house. I bring a light snack sometimes even lunch or champagne as a "Road Block". I invite potential buyers to enjoy a snack on the porch or breakfast area to slow them down and let them imagine themselves in the space. Upon departure I close the house and leave it the way I found it, closing all window treatments, returning HVAC to previous settings, turning off the lights and amenities before I lock the door.
