When Dean Barber asked me to speak with the students, faculty and friends of Temple University’s League for Entrepreneurial Women….I jumped at the chance! -‐ Why? Because… ●“We are bombarded by headlines and stories warning us that as women we cant possibly succeed if we are committed to both our families and careers.

It is in that spirit that I am eager to share with you my entrepreneurial experiences, some of the highlights of my career and several key business strategies that have contributed to my success.

For those of you who are not familiar with the academic process at a design college, it’s a lot like Project Runway. The professors assign projects with an established due date. On that specific due date, each student hands in her work and then presents her project to a jury of her peers and professors; which is then critiqued in comparison to standards set by the competitive work of the other students in the group.
