Recycled metals are making their way into more Consumer Products Thanks to scrap metal recyclers Consumers barely get to know about the hocus pocus and the years of research that go into creating the objects that they need and desire; all they need is something that functions well and looks good while it’s at it.

Wood in building furniture is soon becoming a thing of the past. Metal seems to be moving in into every facet of interior design and interior decor simply because it makes a piece of furniture or decor timeless, appealing and environmentally friendly. Similar is the case of modern appliances, where plastics and fibreglass have been replaced with metals like aluminium; thanks to its ability of avoiding rust completely, while being completely environmentally friendly even after the end of its product lifecycle. Metals are gradually making their way into the external casings or bodies of gadgets like cell phones with better design and simpler components that are easy to dismantle and recycle once the product has reached the end of its life. Metals always have greater value compared to plastics; which are cheaper to produce from scratch than to recycle. The creation of newer and more refined metals working on the innards of any electronic item, makes them more efficient at doing what they do best which is to help consumers conduct their daily tasks with ease. Looking from a consumer’s point of view, all a consumer thinks about when he/she purchases a consumer product, be it furniture, gadgets, appliances or even a light bulb for that matter, is that it does what it is supposed to do and that it does so—efficiently. Consumers rarely know about the hocus pocus and the years of research that go into creating the objects that they need and desire; all they need is something that functions well and looks good while it’s at it. Industries, brands and companies do all the necessary research and have to keep in mind environmental considerations while designing such products. This is why more and more brands have turned to delivering greener products, those that have been created with recycled materials such as metals, paper and re-used or upcycled items created from the same.

The UAE and other Gulf countries have played a major role when it comes to sourcing and delivering scrap metal with the help of scrap dealers and scrap trading companies situated here in the Middle East. Their strategic location helps them source and deliver to the eastern countries helping them save on costs and create better products for consumers. These large resources of scrap metals help satiate the needs of companies both local and worldwide, from building and construction to electronics; helping them build greener products with reduced costs compared to virgin metal of similar value. As a result, more products are being designed keeping in mind their recycling value helping streamline the recycling process further; making way for better innovations and possibilities using metal.
