We form our identities as we grow; who we are, or who we believe ourselves to be, is connected to our home, our childhood and how we grew up. One can certainly break away from the past, forgive, and move on, but we are all bound to our past. Good or bad, our past has carried us to the present moment and we are bound to its existence.
