A burning passion for events started when Karen served her first wedding at a country club in Florida 15 years ago. I had the pleasure of first meeting Karen about 4 years ago as the Director of Sales for Villa Parker. I was new to Colorado and had been running the Wedding and Events division for a floral company close to Villa Parker. The company sold and I ventured out into my own business.

Our company has recently been voted “Best Wedding Florist” on Denver’s A List and received “Couples Choice Award” on Wedding Wire. Deep down in my heart, I honestly believe that I can credit a lot of our success to Karen’s belief in myself, both as an individual and as a business.

There’s never been another person that I’ve seen dedicate themselves to anything quite like Karen does. Her ability to disarm, paint a vision, promote, follow though, provide unreal customer service, oh my goodness this list could go on and on.

Karen was relatively new to her position at Villa Parker when I first met her, to watch her wall of Thank You cards grow over the last four years to cover over two walls in her office from other couples that have also fallen in love with her is unbelievable. I could only strive and aim to provide the level of service that Karen does for her friends/clients. You are not only her client, I guarantee you will become her friend as well.

Everyone around town knows what Villa Parker is, even more know who Karen is. Villa Parker did a great job with our wedding in September 2014. From the minute we had our first meeting with Karen, the coordinator, to after the wedding with coordinating getting our remaining items, we were treated with respect and given prompt attention. My husband and I had a fusion Mexican/ Indian/ Catholic/Hindu wedding at Villa Parker. We couldn’t have been happier with the entire event. Villa Parker was the ideal location to have our wedding. As soon and we talked with Karen about the availability she was so quick to help us and really listened to who we are as a couple and what our big day would ideally be like. My fiancé and I both lived out of state, but Karen and her team were always in contact with us. The venue itself is so unique and has a very comfortable and relaxed home feel. It is also very private which makes it so much more special. There are countless places for amazing pictures and the bride’s suite is so spacious and comfortable. It was the perfect place to get ready with my bridesmaids. We had a traditional Hindu ceremony out on the lawn, which included a fire and a horse. Villa Parker was open to all of the curve balls we sent and accommodated them so that we could have the perfect wedding. We could not be any happier and Villa Parker will always be a cherished place for our guests and us.

My husband and I got married on May 17th, 2014, and let me just say it was perfect. Villa Parker gave us an incredible day, and we are so happy to have had our wedding there. The Tuscany atmosphere of the venue was perfectly balanced with some rustic flare, really creating great opportunities for personal touches, beautiful photos, and an overall beautiful event. Also, it was so nice to have a day of coordinator through Villa Parker. We were in contact with our coordinator throughout the entire process, therefore our vision for our wedding was met, and not to mention, we had a stress-free day, because the staff and coordinators were handling it all! Another plus to mention is that there are many different options to choose from for the ceremony and reception locations. All the spaces really allow you to do what you want, and regardless of the budget and what can be done, it will always be beautiful!

I cannot say enough great things about Villa Parker and its staff. After booking with them, we ended up having to change the wedding date up by nearly 4 months. Karen worked with us and not only moved the date up but contacted some of our vendors for us to make it easier on us. Taylor was our day of planner, she decorated the space just as we had imagined and made the whole day go smoothly. In a time of great stress and chaos, we were able to rely on the competence of the Villa Parker team. Everything from the planning to the rehearsal to the wedding day was seamless. Breathtaking in every way. From the moment we walked up to this venue we just knew. I know you always hear that you will just know, just like a bride with her dress and it being the “one.” This was that place truly. The venue was not only stunningly gorgeous, but for us it was the people who brought the venue to life that made this venue everything. Karen and her team at Villa Parker helped make our day absolutely amazing. We knew from the first visit that this would be our venue and from then on, everyone was great about helping us make arrangements, making suggestions on vendors and making sure that we had everything and everyone that we needed. Their list of preferred vendors is fantastic and I think we used almost all of their recommendations. Even when we threw them a curve ball by bringing in arcade games, Karen didn’t miss a beat! The fact that they are full service and took over EVERYTHING on our day-of was the kicker. The day of our wedding, all we had to do was show up and get ready - they managed the vendors, deliveries, set up, decorating with all the things we had brought over the day before and all of the tear-down after. Thank you, Karen and everyone else at Villa Parker for making our wedding a true dream come true!

Villa Parker is the perfect event venue for every season!

The location is Tuscan romance tucked away on a hill with a gorgeous view of the sunset and the Rocky Mountains and we knew it was perfect for us!

I am extremely grateful that I know these wonderful women and can call them friends! So thankful that they were such a big part of everything. From the beginning up until the big day Karen, Erika, Taylor and the rest of the staff were so kind, friendly and extremely helpful on all levels. I was very excited when I found Villa Parker. That is when the fun began! Working with Karen, the Director of Sales, was too much fun. Karen is not only very professional, but has the ability to make one feel like you are dealing with “family.”

I was delighted with the transformation Karen and the staff managed so beautifully. We had famiy, friends and out-of-town guests ~ all whom were duly impressed with this jewel of a venue.

DEAN’S 90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Villa Parker is a beautiful venue, not only for weddings, but for any special celebration. The very unique architecture and particularly the outdoor areas are stunning. Having access to the entire area for the whole day makes it very special and something that is nearly impossible to find. You are not sharing the space as you might be at a hotel or country club.

Nearly everyone attending our party commented on how wonderful this hidden gem is.

The staff is incredible to work with, and attend to every possible detail, and because go their experience have great resources and ideas. Karen and Erika make planning a very easy and comfortable process.

CHLOE’S BAT MITZVAH - 3.26.16

We had the privilege of working with Karen for our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah celebration at Villa Parker. From our first meeting, it was obvious Karen was a phenomenal Event Planner and so much more! She was a friend, guide and full service support system in one! She was always excited to see us and made everyone feel as if we were the most important people in her life! She spent a great deal of time walking us through the venue, pricing, contract and other details with professionalism, sweetness and such positive energy. Karen was prompt in returning phone calls and following up on any questions or concerns. She emailed us to invite us to tastings to help with choosing a caterer, which, was extremely helpful! A PASSIONATE MEETINGS & SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER

I was born a hopeless romantic and to embrace the magic of getting lost in someone else’s love story. I believe houses should be small and dreams should be big.

I believe in celebrating every special occasion, milestone and achievement of those around me –family, friends and colleagues.

I could live on sushi, McDonald’s vanilla ice cream cones … and Jelly Bellys (any of the red ones will do).

I believe one voice is enough to change the world and that diversity is a disguised gift of education. My wardrobe consists of two extremes - Ann Taylor or yoga pants.

I believe in adopting shelter puppies because they have the best adventure stories. The feeling of water over your toes dug into soft sand is the epitome of relaxation to me. No distractions – just me, a deserted beach and the calming sound of the ocean surf breaking in the distance.

I believe in embracing Community Footprints – it just feels good to give back. I could live in flip flops or pretty heels. Going barefoot always works too.

I believe all people deserve to find their life partner and to be loved endlessly.

I believe being wrapped in a fuzzy blanket and being hypnotized by a fire while roasting marshmallows to a slightly more than golden, yet not quite charred gooeyness is heaven on earth.

I believe love is best as an adventure, because surprises should always be shared.

I am a certified travel enthusiast. As it’s been said, “Traveling leaves you breathless. Then turns you into a storyteller.” Some of my greatest memories have been gained while traveling and the opportunity to explore different destinations and cultures.

On my days off, I’ve been known to spend entire afternoons in yoga classes. Me, my mat and an endless attitude of gratitude.

I dream of owning a vintage turquoise Vespa someday, preferably one that has a few stories to share from its life traveling across the Italian countryside.

I believe in falling in love, over and over. Every. Single. Day.

I believe the Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton to be the finest in the “kingdom of hospitality.”
