“Hey Maddie, I gotta tell you something,” Tatiana yelled across the recess playground. Maddie started to walk to Tati. “Hey,” said Tati. “Hey, so this is what I want to tell you, but first let me tie my shoe.” Tatiana bent down, just balancing on the ball of her foot. Meanwhile Maddie was getting impatient. So she took her hands out of her pocket and shook Tati and said, “Come on, I don’t have all day!” When Maddie did that, she sent Tati tumbling to the ground. “Hey, what’s your problem?!” Tati yelled at Maddie. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to. Just chill out” Maddie said to Tati. “Chill out?!...Dude, you just pushed me into 3the dirt, and I’m wearing my good jeans today!”
Tatiana jumped up and aimed for Maddie’s face to punch her, but Maddie wouldn’t let her. She backed away. 4
But Tati tried again and almost succeeded but Maddie was too strong. ‘I’m too strong!” said Maddie.

Finally Tatiana gave up. But she was still mad. “I’M RUNNING INTO THE WOODS!”

She sprints to the woods. But stops because she doesn’t know where to go. The sun is in her eyes. Everywhere she looks is the sun, sun, sun, sun!

Never mind, she saw a path. She walked down the path.

The path led her to a heart-shaped stump.Then she realized how much she loved Maddie and that they will always be friends.

So she ran as fast as she could back to Maddie.
