One Time for Twice the Work of French Fries by Aurelia

! It was quiet in the lunch room no one but Molly in there busy as a bee that was. She was making french fries for lunch. Whatʼs that? Sniff-sniff. I smell butter. What could Molly be making? ! “Hello Molly what are you making?” I walked in the lunch room. ! “Hi Aurelia Iʼm mixing butter for the french fries.” said Molly. ! “Ooooooh” I said with a nod.

When Molly was done mixing the butter she put it in a can and sprayed it onto the pan to grease it. !
! After she greased one pan, she had to grease another pan. Molly bent down to put the fries in the oven. She set the timer for ten minutes and mumbles to herself, “I hope the fries donʼt burn.” ! “Beep, beep, beep” the timer went off. “Looks like the fries are done” I said. 3
! Molly took the fries out of the oven and she shut her eyes. Slowly she opened her eyes to see the burnt french fries. ! “Oh, greasy grease pans! My fries are burned!” shouted Molly. ! I gave out a chuckle and said, “I will help you make the next batch.”

! Molly shook her head as she scraped the pan. “If only I had more time,” she sighed. ! I sighed too and just watched for a moment.
I took out the butter and turned on the stove to melt it. ! Molly said, “Get me 5 potatoes to chop up. Quickly!” ! “Why are you so hurried?” I asked. “You seemed fine before.” ! “Lunch is starting soon and the children need their french fries! We canʼt keep them waiting!” she said !

! The students at LES were lucky that day! Just as they arrived for lunch, “beep, beep, beep� the timer went off again. We opened the oven and with happy smiles we saw nice, yummy, crisp, brown french fries. ! MMMMMMM...
