The Sugar Shack by Japhet
Once there was a little sugar shack attached to a big restaurant, named Maple Flavor, with not many people that visited.

The owners were Tracy McNaughton and Japhet Wise.

They made: ! • great maple syrup • maple sugar on snow • maple sugar candies shaped like maple leaves • waffles with butter • pancakes • french toast • sausage • bacon • eggs • apples and honey

Every morning the bunch of people that came zooming in when they unlocked the door grew and grew and grew. The amount had doubled each day, until they weren始t able to collect enough maple sap to make enough maple syrup. Japhet felt really bad for all his customers that couldn始t get any maple syrup.

Japhet and Tracy made a plan to find more maple trees because there wasn始t enough trees that they were using to collect enough maple sap. During the seasons that the sap wasn始t running, they started walking around in the deep forest, and walked really far, and it seemed like the forest was endless. Each time they walked they found at least 3 more trees, and they walked 500 times. They found 1,500 trees.

They dug a tunnel into the ground, and in this tunnel they kept their secret maps of where the maple trees are.

The next year the amount of people that visited was bigger than ever. But Japhet and Tracy were able to keep up because they had found 1,500 new maple trees. Japhet and Tracy felt good that they could give everybody that came some maple syrup.
