Winter Fun By Nathan
A beautiful day with the marks of nature. I love winter! It is the only time of year that you can sled without stopping a lot. I like to look for animal tracks. Building snowmen is fun and the way the snow feels on your handscold and warm, and it feels good.

I also love playing outside during recess at Leverett School. I love to play games like Eskimos and build snow tunnels.

One day during a snowy recess I said to Hayden, “Letʼs play hide and go seek!” “How about if I hide first?” said Hayden. I said, “Okay, Iʼm fine with that.” I counted to 20 with my eyes closed.
First I crawled in the snow tunnel and looked around. Hayden wasnʼt there!

So I looked over by the red slide and he wasnʼt there either! Then I got distracted by the snow tunnels. I built one.
The recess bell rang. It was time to line up. Hayden came out. We got into an argument. “You never came!” “Well, you hid in a tricky spot!” “I was hiding in a secret place,” said Hayden. “I donʼt know any secret place.” “Letʼs just agree to never do that again.” We agreed and went inside the school.
