The Stealth Model Treehouse's exterior reflects its surrounding environment rendering the structure invisible. Observe nature like a wildlife photographer you can see out but not in. The treehouse was already zero impact, this takes it one step further. Product Information – The Sequoia model is currently the largest of our pre designed models and is best suited for activities involving 5 – 8 people. All Sequoia models come standard with a 10.5″ diameter floor plane is 95 sq feet, total diameter of 13′ and peak ceiling height of 10′. All canopy options include 25 windows to fully open or fully enclose the structure. The design is modular and can accommodate your material preferences.
Apart from being a designer for O2 Treehouse, I have also helped in Brand redevelopment, Brand positioning, process and methodology, technical testing and prototyping. O 2 T r e e h o u s e has been making their clients’ childhood dreams come true since 2005, designing and building beautiful custom treehouses. Our projects have ranged from bamboo play structure to geodesic greenhouse to a multi unit tree village with rope bridge and zip-line. Our clients use their O2 Treehouses as open air offices, art studios, meditation dens, guest houses, yoga decks, playhouses, teaching centers and more. No matter what the project, consistent throughout our process is our extreme attention to detail, eco-friendly design and construction, and a commitment to meeting both our clients functional needs and their aesthetic desires. Whether we are oversears or in our own backyard, we always deliver innovative eye catching structures that make our clients and their friends say, “WOW!” The LEAF HOUSE is the original O2 Treehouse geodesic dome design, dubbed the ‘floating lantern’ by many because of the striking glowing silhouette it poses against the night sky. It is to date still the highest aloft and the lightest structure built by O2 Treehouse. Weighing in at only 1,200 pounds, the Leaf House was kept ultra light by utilizing aluminium struts for the frame and recycled plastic for the flooring, canopy, and basket lift. This iconic Buckminster Fuller inspired design was the spark that lit the O2 Treehouse flame. The Leaf House’s combination of formal sculptural sensibilities, functional design and environmental sensibility stand as an enduring example of the O2 Treehouse mission, to inspire humanity to reconsider how it can co-exist with nature in aesthetically unique yet sustainable ways.

This unique geodesic shape uses a minimal of materials in the creation of an elegant form. Use in your garden as a sitting area, hang plants or train vines on this structure to create a one of kind garden element..
Product Information Garden domes, come ready to assemble. We have used Doug Fir or Cedar. For execution of these in America but in India , we suggest using Poly treated MDF, Protection coated Plywood or Blue Timber.

PROJECT 2: INTERIOR DESIGN FOR A HOUSE (Completed)
with an aim of providing design solutions with a focus on building low cost housing and sustainable interior finishes.. The money I generated from my projects were used to provide design solutions to slums in my locality.
Here my brief was to remodel an existing house to a Guest House. I designed the space along the lines of a studio apartment
PROJECT 1: RESTAURANT INTERIOR (Completed)
The idea was to create two different entities inside the environment connected by the sense of vitality catering to both a Fine Dine Experience as well as a Lounge Camry. Since the need was to address two different setups a unique system of connect was introduced without creating a jargon or a chaotic approach.

PROJECT : PATHE ON THE MOVE (Under Construction) The assignment was to reposition Pathe – one of the biggest distributors of cinema in the Netherlands and France – reupdate their portfolio and help them win back customers who are slowly moving out to younger and more creative movie offerings. My idea for them was to create a POP UP MOVIE stall which travels from town to town on designated days and sets base to screen movies. A fine dining option with your own private space that you could hire with your family or friends, enjoy a meal, choose a movie of your choice to watch. This project involved a lot customer research at the beginning followed by a deep understanding of what the brand stood for, the corporate identity, vision and mission etc.
PROJECT WITH SHAYAN KUMARADASS CHARTERED ARCHITECTS (SKCA), SRI LANKA The teamwork, informal environment and the informal working style gave me a very interesting outlook to designing space. The learning facilitated me to apply coherent technological principles with steadily enthused towards increasing user experience. Here I got to work on code review, detailing, MEP coordination, attend progress meetings and work with consultants. I also got to work on the schematics of a new building project, drawing and detailing of this project from tender stage

SITE PLAN
UNIT PLAN LEVEL 2
This was a Housing Project where I decided to play with the psychology of the user and mapped out circular forms, free flowing circulation patterns throughout and incorporating design elements that bridge the gap between the inside and outside. SEMESTER 4: BIODIVERSITY CENTER In this project I got to design a Bio Diversity Center. .My idea was related to the interrelationships and interdependences that exist in nature. One failing would hurt the entire system. So I wanted to incorporate Interdependence as a key factor in my design and this should be predominantly visible to the passerby. The semester was more to understand the design process and development.
INITIAL IDEAS
FINAL MODEL
My idea was to create a metaphorical expression on site and let all the animals walk freely below as architects we need to be sensitive to all living creatures. The human circulation here is restricted rather than the animals; The intersecting levels pave an interesting story on site.

Together with public interfaces we might change people’s perceptions so they will feel more welcome to take part. Creating an interface between the virtual and real world’s thus engaging people. This theater of knowledge providing an immerse world of knowledge in an exciting world of virtual information. A science museum or a science centre is a museum devoted primarily to science. Older science museums tended to concentrate on static displays of objects related to natural history, paleontology, geology, industry and industrial machinery, etc. Modern trends in museology have broadened the range of subject matter and introduced many interactive exhibits.
SEMESTER 10/ THESIS – SCIENCE AND TECH MUSEUM Our world today is like an origami, constantly folding on into itself bringing distances closer together till essentially everywhere is here. Knowledge and Information are always changing from the Industrial age to the Information age to the Network age. A book as a traditional source of information is housed in a library and thousands of archived books are quickly being converted into digital data. This cloud of virtual data can be shared by people all over. Hence places where we access information are changing too. Cell phones laptops etc can be used. Thousands of people in the developing world suffer from a digital divide. Can we narrow this divide by revisiting the civic space for the benefitting culture of use. The library now can be used to increase awareness about the new information of technology so that people will know how it will benefit them. Should be free so that everyone has access.

My approach was to take a porous object like a cuboid and map out the wind flow through it at different points of the day and different seasons I came up with a variety of options to work with. I narrowed this down by mapping out the seasons where you have the strongest and weakest wind flows.

1. Rise and Fall of Modernism - "Modernism stands for a certain approach, a set of rules. There is the notion of the Zeitgeist – the spirit of the age. According to the theory of Zeitgeist, those aspects of life which are new – industrialisation, mass production, aeroplanes, cars, new materials – create a sort of modernity of spirit which it is necessary for art and architecture to respond to." I went on to present this paper at the Thiagarajar College of Engineering at Madurai and at the Indian Institute of Architects Conference at Indore the same year Author - Karthik V Narayan IIA Journal YAF - 2010
3. Role of Policies in achieving a Sustainable built environment - The impact of sustainable entities and environments on human mind, society and ecology, the unfortunate misinterpretations, policies necessary to implement this and a design module to work with. Author - Karthik V Narayan IIA Journal 2011

COMPETITION PROJECT : ICONIC CITY CENTER The project was to design a convention center that is iconic to the city. The exercise was idea based and form oriented. My design evolved from the wind pattern across different seasons around the site given to us.
PAPER PUBLICATIONS The architectural research I involved myself in has indeed paved a very interesting path in my learning. Presenting my papers at the respective conferences helped me garner a lot of feedback that served as a medium for improvement.
Painting takes me to a world beyond my kitch of everyday life. I did this painting as my attempt to look at the beyond. PAINTING
