01 Redesigning Neral Railway Staion Neral is a Railway Station on the Central Line of the Mumbai Suburban railway network located in the town of neral. It is junction railway station between kalyan-karjat section of central railway connecting mumbai and pune. It is the starting point of the narrow gauge railway line connecting the hill station of Matheran (Tourist spot). This project aim is to study the site context of the station and redesign the neral station as per the requirement. The study says that - access to the railway station where there is a large footfall, demands proportionate magnanimity, volumes, movement convenience and feeling of lack-of -congestion and stifle. Though, the extent of area to be covered/ semi covered will depend on the design concepts and therefore vary quantitatively & qualitatively, a minimum requirement of semi covered rain protected.

03 Elite Breath This Project had done in two parts where first one is to Selecting the Discourse from (Paramatricism, Tripal O - Object Oriented Ontology and Phenomenology) Study the Discourse and their aspects. and Second one is to Study the given site, observed the Lenses from site, make our own Site Impression and findout the need of Mixed use program related to User group. According to that, apply the Discourse aspects to design the Mixed use building. The given Site is Saat Rasta, Byculla also known as the Jacob Circle or the Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk was also a part of Girangaon. It is one of the busiest junction of the city. This area mark the end of the mill district and the start of the market district of the Mumbai city. There were just three to four mills to the south of the Jacob Circle. Site Impresion :- Saat Rasta, Byculla, Mumbai The site is located at the Saat Rasta or Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk. The site is well connected to different transport systems .There is a monorail coming up and it also has the mahalaxmi station nearby . Along with the rail route it also has access to the road network as there are seven roads crossing along the Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk. These roads furthur connect to the eastern expressway and the Bhau Daji Lad museum. Having good connectivity makes the chowk one of the busiest circle in Mumbai with an active street life. There are various formal and informal activities happening at this junction. The Saat Rasta marks the end of the mill district and the start of the market district of the Mumbai city. There are a lot of working class people living in this area along with migrants from various part of the country .Due to this the site has a diverse population with a mixed culture. There are many slums, chawls and low rise buildings who have a character and traces Of these communities .Migration of these people and the closing of mill ,encouraged development of many formal and informal working conditions here . The site has been studies with the lense of these diverse work and live conditions. The various working and living conditions are categorised into main street Residential + commercial where the work place is located on the ground floor and the residential on the floor above , live and work (in the same place ) , corporate offices, informal market .There are also many high rise and luxury apartments coming up in the area . The graphic is the mapping of these activities and an index of variousworking conditions on the site .

Discourse :- Phenomenology Phenomenology is the manipulation of space, material and light and shadow to create a memorable encounter. It promotes integration of sensory perception in architecture which creates an experience that is beyond tangible, but rather abstract, observed and perceived. The dynamics of human perception of the individual and the community should influence design form and function. Architecture is designed to serve the needs of human activitiestherefore there should be a relationship between senses and building. Microclimate, Light and shadow, scale, material, are some of the aspects of phenomenology which helps in achieving this relationship. Micro-climate and spirit of a space depends on the environment around it. So site and context play a vital role to influence the phenomenology of architecture. Most of the phenomenology structures designed are located in a peri-urban context will it have its relevance in the urban context? Light and shadow creates a playful interaction of colour, texture and related emotions associated to the program. Material is the first essence or encounter of architecture. How can tactile experience induce architectural experiences? These structures have subtleness and experience is the core quality of this architecture. Will this subtleness survive in the noise and complexities of urban fabric? At the same time present time architecture is being influence by technological advancement as well as the commercial developments around will the essence of space and sensory based functionality survive? The above questions are a few inquiries that will further help is forming grounds for integrating phenomenological aspects with present day requirements , creating experiential spaces with in urban complexities.

23

PROGRAMS

Formulation of Programs The Design Aim is to get with technological advancement, the strict boundaries of Work, Live, Play is opening up and are no more just workspaces or living spaces or playing areas. A network of work-live-play,work-live, live-play,play-work has been created making spaces more flexible for the user. Therefore, the aim is to explicate this dynamic network society and design a mix-use building catering to the needs of future. The Design Objectives are : 1. To create a sustainable neighborhood. 2. To create interactive and experiential spaces. 3. To arugment the rapid development in the context. 4. To increase the valuation of the area around.

04 CANCARE - Palliative Cancer Care Center

This is the Thesis Project done Healthcare Design selecting specific Disease and focused on the relation of Human nature to Architecture. Nowaday, ‘Health’ is a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living; it is a positive concept, emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities”. But more than half of people are victims of different types of disease where I am taking the example of Cancer Diseases and the Journey of the diagnosed cancer patient. In India, According to experts, 70% of cancer patients consult at a terminal stage. It is the reason for the largest contributor to cancer deaths at 2.2 million every year. Mostly, at Advanced cancer stages, the chances of cure from the Disease are less. Therefore, I am considering the specific user group which is the Mid-Early stage group diagnosed cancer patients and Advanced/the Last stage cancer patient who wanted quality of life in the health care building. The Design Intent of the Project is ‘To design a Cancer Care Centre which improve quality of life, provides information plus day care service to early and mid-stage patients in addition with palliative care for the terminally ill patient who get diagnosed with cancer disease’
