Oliver York was only 130th after timed practice because of an engine that did not comply, but he never gave up and threw himself into the fray. He took advantage of the numerous qualifying heats to fight his way up through the field and clinch his place among the finalists. He continued to push in the prefinal and the final. Up front Frenchman Victor Martins was unable to fight off the attacks of several British drivers after his victory in the pre-final. There was an amazing noholds- barred battle between Oliver Clarke, Callum Bradshaw and Oliver York, who had finally got among the front-runners like Belgian, Ugo De Wilde. York came out on top and scored an absolutely mindboggling victory while Bradshaw snatched second place from Clarke. French driver Gillian Henrion made a fantastic final charge and took fourth in front of De Wilde.
Seulement 130e après les essais chronométrés en raison d’un moteur jugé non-conforme, Oliver York n’a pas baissé les bras et s’est lancé à corps perdu dans la bagarre. Profitant des nombreuses manches de qualification pour remonter, il a gagné sa place parmi les finalistes, avant de poursuivre son offensive en préfinale et en finale. Aux avant-postes, le Français Victor Martins se retrouvait en difficulté face à plusieurs Britanniques après son succès en préfinale. La lutte finale fut extraordinaire entre Oliver Clarke, Callum Bradshaw, Oliver York, finalement revenu, tout comme le Belge Ugo De Wilde. York gagnait ce duel et remportait un succès presque imprévisible. Bradshaw arrachait la 2e place à Clarke. Superbe fin de course du Français Gillian Henrion, qui s’intercalait 4e devant De Wilde.

Even though the clouds floated away from the skies over the Le Mans international circuit it was as if the heavens had fallen on the head of Oliver Hodgson in the final! The winner of the pre-final had built up a comfortable lead in the final until his transmission let him down on the 16th of the 21 laps. His fellow-countryman Hugo Ellis took over the lead after a superb charge up through the field as he was in 16th place on the grid. Portuguese Andriy Pits drove a great race and installed himself in an uncontested second place leaving Dutchman Mike Bartels and Joël Deptuch from France to go head-tohead for third with Bartels coming out on top. Another French driver, Giacomo Napolitano, snatched fifth from Marco Paul from Germany at the flag.

Pendant que les nuages s’éloignaient au dessus du circuit international du Mans, le ciel tombait sur la tête de Oliver Hodgson en finale. Le vainqueur de la préfinale pointait son nez sur la tête de Oliver Hodgson en finale. Le vainqueur de la préfinale pointait pourtant largement en tête de la finale, mais il était trahi par sa transmission dans le 16e des 21 tours de course. Son compatriote Hugo Ellis le relayait tout en haut de la hiérarchie après un sacré forcing, puisqu’il n’était que 16e sur la grille de départ. Laissant le Néerlandais Mike Bartels et le Français Joël Deptuch se disputer la 3e place, le Portugais Andriy Pits a bien manoeuvré pour s’isoler en 2e position. Bartels gagnait son duel avec Deptuch pour compléter le top-3. Autre Français, Giacomo Napolitano coiffait l’Allemand Marco Paul pour le gain de la 5e position.

Victor Compère from France was head and shoulders above his rivals in the pre-final and final scoring a well-deserved victory. Behind him a ding-dong battle raged. Vincent Fraïsse who started on the first row was hemmed in at the start and was never able to fight his way back to the front. Thomas Bale from the United Arab Emirates managed to outpace the very quick Frenchman Kevin Breysse and saw the flag in second place. Ulysse De Pauw made an incredible comeback. The Belgian started in 30th place after his retirement in the pre-final and carved his way up through the field to cross the line in fourth place in front of two of his fellow-countrymen, Maxime Potty and Maxime Drion, after passing 26 drivers!
Le Français Victor Compère a dominé la préfinale et la finale de la tête et des épaules, remportant une victoire logique et méritée. Le spectacle a toutefois été intense derrière lui. Parti en première ligne, Vincent Fraïsse s’est fait enfermer au départ et le Français n’a pu retrouver sa place parmi les premiers. Thomas Bale des Emirats Arabes Unis a distancé le rapide Français Kevin Breysse pour le gain de la 2e place. Fantastique remontée d’Ulysse De Pauw. Parti 30e après son abandon en préfinale, le Belge a coupé l’arrivée en 4e position (+26) devant ses deux compatriotes Maxime Potty et Maxime Drion.

Belgian Jérémy Peclers who was on pole took the lead in the race with Australian Kip Foster in his wake. In the meantime, Wilfrid Lecarpentier was doing his best to fend off the attacks of Nicolas Duchateau, who’d made a great start, Gildas Quinquet and Graham Hill. Many spectators at the trackside thought that Foster was just waiting for the right moment. But Peclers held on and won this final. After swapping places a few times with fellowcountryman Quinquet, Lecarpentier clinched third place on the podium. Reigning champion, another Frenchman Gérard Cavalloni, was unable to find a way past British driver Hill and came home sixth behind Duchateau. Despite a penalty in the pre-final because of a detached spoiler French driver Franck Rouxel came out on top in the veteran category winning from Kenneth Chung, Willy Runget, Jacky Foulatier and Jorge Busato.
Depuis la première place sur la grille, le Belge Jérémy Peclers s’est rapidement isolé en tête de la course avec l’Australien Kip Foster dans son sillage. Pendant ce temps, Wilfrid Lecarpentier était occupé à se défaire de Nicolas Duchateau, très bien parti, Gildas Quinquet et Graham Hill. Depuis le bord de la piste, beaucoup pensaient que Foster attendait son heure. Mais Peclers tenait bon et gagnait cette finale. Après quelques échanges de place avec son compatriote Quinquet, le Français Lecarpentier s’assurait la 3e marche du podium. Champion en titre, le Français Gérard Cavalloni butait sur le Britannique Hill, 6e derrière Duchateau. Malgré une pénalité en préfinale pour spoiler décroché, le Français Franck Rouxel faisait la différence chez les vétérans pour gagner sa catégorie devant Kenneth Chung, Willy Runget, Jacky Foulatier et Jorge Busato.

Vigano emerges victorious despite Babington

The eagerly-awaited no-holds-barred duel between Matteo Vigano from Italy and British driver Sean Babington didn’t disappoint. Vigano who won the pre-final was caught out by Babington at the start. The two drivers swapped the lead on several occasions and finally Vigano held off his rival to clinch victory. Estonian Sten Piirimagi came out on top in a final skirmish with the Englishman and snatched second. Thierry Delré finished not far behind these aces leaving his pursuers, among which were Lebanese Karl Massaad and Vincent Herblot from France, well in arrears.
Très attendu, le duel intense entre l’Italien Matteo Vigano et le Britannique Sean Babington a bien eu lieu. Vainqueur de la préfinale, Vigano se faisait surprendre par Babington au départ. Après quelques échanges de position durant cette finale, Vigano résistait jusqu’au bout à son rival pour s’imposer. L’Estonien Sten Piirimagi profitait d’un ultime coude à coude pour s’intercaler en 2e position. Thierry Delré a terminé non loin de ce duo de choc, laissant le peloton de chasse à bonne distance, dans lequel on retrouvait le Libanais Karl Massaad et le Français Vincent Herblot.
