Having time, to sit and drink your cuppa, whilst it’s hot

Or re-establishing a hobby that you used to love a lot

It may be handwriting a letter to a friend you have not seen

Could be looking at old photographs of places you’ve once been

A daydream in the day time, when your mind might float away

A walk around the garden, taking in what’s new today

A doze when sat quite comfortably, with no-one else around

A chance to listen carefully, to every birdsong sound

Having time is precious, so we should use it with great care

And make the best of any of that time we might call spare

Just a few snatched moments that might end up in a smile

If you make time, to have the time for you, for just a while
