APARTMENT HOUSE SLOVAKIA_BRATISLAVA

The building is situated in Bratislava, capital city of Slovakia. Site is placed in typical the Eastern European neighborhood Petr탑alka. Despite the fact that this part of the dense urban structure, the object is located relatively remote and unbuilt areas. It is surrounded by a low-rise residential buildings, woods and open space. Object itself with its number of strays it trying to get closer to the local urban scale. The main idea was to create a concept of residential housing, which by comfort and interconnectedness with environment simulate living in family houses. It seeks to do it by distribution of mass within two units generating partly closed complex. This provides residents feel of safe and closed neighborhood, bringing all the positives that this kind of coexistence can. It is providing appropriate environment for family life within the city. Too much closeness is hampered by four passages in all directions. This way is building opening itself in to the pleasant natural environment. The building consists of one underground and four to five overground storeys. Underground garage extends under the whole site and links aboveground mass. First floors is formed basement and storage spaces and free space is available for rent to ensure elementary services for residents. Typical floors of the building are second and third. Above them are two floors of maisonett apartments. The load-bearing structure is designed by combining wall system and support columns.Overall, the apartment building is built up from three kinds of sections and (end, continuous and corner). In residential house are situated 22 apartments of which 6 are maisonettes and it provides 43 parking spaces. 2010

RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX

LONG, WIDE, EYED BRATISLAVA_SLOVAKIA

The design task was mix-used building in a quiet location Vrakuňa - Podunajské Byskupice on the bank of Malý Dunaj. Area is a black hole/brownfield in a newly established part of residential zone, whose final solution is key for future life in the area. The concept of the design is to fully exploit the potential of the locality and transform these solutions onto the site. In my concept of three buildings ! long - wide - eyed ˝, each building adds value to the other. Tower residential building ! long ˝ effectively utilizes the building site and at the same time, reduce the density of the urban structure. Smaller building of community center ! eyed ˝, helps to embrace the community and to attract people to the area. Longitudinal mix-used building ! wide ˝ on the river bank of Malý Dunaj communicates with the locality’s greatest potential, Maly Dunaj river. It focuses on city views, greenery, the cemetery and commercial functions support life on the river promenade. 2013

MONUMENT VALLEY HOUSE AND PLACE OF PILGRIMAGE CHECK REPUBLIC _PRAGUE_OLD TOWN

Our concept is based on few key words which are significant for Prague and which are also used for Prague description in book “Genius Loci“. Key words: 1. The mystery: unexpected discoveries during town crossing, unexpected meeting in town, secrets, atrium yards, building underpasses. 2. The spirituality: meeting with god, light rays game, passion for the heaven, gardens of delight. 3. The continuity: horizontal lines - tower, town silhouette, underpasses. Our work was inspirited by all this factors. We used old for Prague well know shapes (arc, underpasses, backyards, pillars, cross vault), but we gave them new look in the way of new understanding senses. We used modern materials characteristic for these days, concrete. In shortcut: “we just friendly dusted off this part of Prague“. 2015

DÜSSELDORF INNER-CITY KONVERSION

NETWORKING CITY DÜSSELDORF_GERMANY

Our designed area is located in the downtown area of the city of Düsseldorf. This city district is directly adjacent the central train station and it lies on the direct connection between station and the old town of the city . The state of the design area is not good. There are several problems. First, it is not clear how to get to the main train station in from the town center. Second, the courtyards are not used effectively. The third problem is the life quality of residents. The design is made out in the way, that you can read it in two directions. Orthogonal stripes form a network throughout the field. The area is divided into three distinct parts that form parallel stripes. Each part is used differently: housing, public buildings and mixed use. The original road network is processed so that only every other line is available for cars. The main pedestrian street divides the city area into two. It also connects the two important points, the central station and Martin-Luther-Platz. This connection continues after to the major axis of the city Königsallee. An important aspect of the design is the green network. It consists of two axes, a main pedestrian and another for traffic. Two perpendicular green roads connect smaller green spaces. Green places serve the residents for recreation.

The courtyards

Ja, das möchste:

alte Weine aus schönem Pokal -

Eine Villa im Grünen mit großer Terrasse,

und egalweg bleibst du dünn wie ein Aal.

vorn die Ostsee, hinten die Friedrichstraße;

Neun Zimmer - nein, doch lieber zehn!

Aber, wie das so ist hienieden:

Ein Dachgarten, wo die Eichen drauf stehn,

manchmal scheints so, als sei es beschieden

Radio, Zentralheizung, Vakuum,

nur pöapö, das irdische Glück.

eine Dienerschaft, gut gezogen und stumm,

Immer fehlt dir irgendein Stück.

eine süße Frau voller Rasse und Verve -

Hast du Geld, dann hast du nicht Käten;

acht Autos, Motorrad - alles lenkste

Tröste dich.

natürlich selber - das wär ja gelacht! Und zwischendurch gehst du auf Hochwildjagd. Jedes Glück hat einen kleinen Stich. Wir möchten so viel: Haben. Sein. Und gelten. Ja, und das hab ich ganz vergessen:

Multifunction area - keep residents in area

Concept

The Idea of the proposal is based on the poem of the German author Kurt Tuscholskeho: das Ideal, which captures the conflict in finding the ideal of living and life. Pursuing of this ideal is an effort to meet all the needs of contemporary man. It is coming with fundamental contradiction between the advantages of living in a rural and urban area. Although the author expresses that one can not have everything in life, this proposal seeks to reconcile these two opposites into best result. The solution is not based on the classic form mainly from the period of functionalism, in meaning of mono-functioning and generosity of space in the form of housing in the countryside. To the contrary the concept is based on the creation of two main elements of linear city park and predominantly residential area with a high density of population. Idea also uses multifunctionality in effort to capture the nature of European urban centers.
