Big idea Urban gardening fosters a sense of purpose through interaction and involvement. Outdoor vegetation and interactive spaces establish a sense of belonging.

Counseling sessions, group therapy, and community activities and workshops allow residents to be involved with the Denver community.

Intentional design and activities promote growth and development. Veterans require an environment that can encourage them to learn and get involved.

Where Denver Colorado has a thriving cultural Denver, scene, diverse population, and is surrounded by natural landscape. Urban farming is a growing trend within the Denver community.

Why Grounded veteran living community is a safe haven for veterans to live in a community that will help them to grow and rise above the challenges they face.

Architecture is now supporting the social sustainability movement by incorporating community gardens, interactive designs, designs and eco-friendly materials.

Urban gardening fosters a sense of community and purpose through interaction and involvement. Organic shapes mimic the greenery found in gardens along with contrasting linear forms that represent the structures that hold vegetation.

Big idea Art of astrology reached new heights in the rebirth of classical culture in the European Renaissance Classical columns, detailed plaster work, inlaid woodwork, and Renaissance art provide an ambience of European Renaissance.

The XII hotel creates a unique experience through tailored amenities based on a guest’s astrological sign.

Lobby and adjacent spaces: the cafe and lobby bar embody multiple and diverse elements of earth signs. signs The lobby is designed as a transitional space. Dark wood and earth toned upholstery is balanced with reflective metals and marbles.

Oracle restaurant + cafe displays practical and modest side of earth signs. Creating a more casual transition from the lobby, a selection of light and airy earth tones are incorporated with exposed white brick for a softer interior.

Madame Apartments embody intellectual and creative sides of air signs. signs Inspired by Renaissance architecture, the apartments have ornate recessed ceilings, crown molding, and faux mantels.

Luxurious marble flooring and ornate ceiling details add renaissance flair to the apartments. Dark jewel tones represent air sign’s birthstones. Marble inlay provides visual separation.

Encapsulates high energy, confidence and freedom that Fire signs possess. Luxurious and neutral toned finishes provide a more traditional experience during the daytime while red ambient lighting transitions into the evening for a unique and vibrant experience.

Private lounges take advantage of the D.C. view with large framed windows and telescopes for night time. Renaissance inspired balustrades, columns, and trim detailing encase each private lounge.

Glass dome encloses the bar area with a center column for shelving and a fire accent. Wall washers and LED strip lighting casts a red hue onto the rooftop bar at night, creating an exciting atmosphere.

Lounge areas and different postures allow employees to work in different ways. Workstations provide a collaborative work environment.

Design Intent Studio Vinyl’s passion and love of music resonates throughout the interior of the building. To honor music history, Studio Vinyl’s design is inspired by music studios of the 1950s. The undulating rhythm of the grooves in vinyl records is evident in design details throughout the space.

Level 36 RCP Ceiling & Lighting Legend Lighting concept Level 36 mainly consists of enclosed offices. Acoustic ceiling tiles are used throughout the building for sound absorption. Dropped ceilings provide visual boundaries between the corridor and work areas.

Healthcare Group Project Design a dermatology clinic and spa



Big idea Establishing a connection from caregiver to patient is essential. Exam and treatment rooms include technology and space to allow for maximum efficiency and care.

Dermatology and Spa are balanced and defined with curved shapes in the employee area. Two circular pavillions emulate each other creating symmetry.

The path patients and employees take is guided by lighted corridors that transiton them into private areas. The mineral pool has a winding corridor that prepares one to enter a dark space.

Where Sedona, Arizona has long been known as a spiritual power center. This energy and strong spirituality is credited to the four energy vortexes present in Sedona. Sedona’s vortexes pull energy up from the earth, allowing humans to make a connection.

Why INNER X’s design uses the vortex to focus on the balance of the spiritual connection between humans and the earth. Smooth transitions from medical to spa are reminiscent of the spiritual transference from a vortex.

Mineral pool amenities provide alleviation of dry climate effects of Arizona.

Spa side includes massage rooms, treatment rooms, a mineral pool and locker areas.

Dermatology side includes a lab, treatment rooms, exam rooms, and nurses station.

Design an innovative furniture piece featuring Formica laminates



Product Description Ecosystem: series of things that work together creating a functioning environment. Ecosystem: Humans interact with the ecosystem every day. The relationship is functional functional,, yet magical. The Eco-bench has multiple levels of design that create an experience for the user. The arch provides visual separation and privacy. The double-sided bench creates a community feeling such as a group of organisms in an ecosystem. A removable table provides an extra layer to the ecosystem and can be used as a worksurface or separation between two users.

Product Description

R e nderings &

Natural landscape of rock formations is the inspiration for The Sanctuary. Sanctuary. Light is in its own sanctuary, safe and sound, surrounded by rustic wooden forms. Repetition in the repeating shapes is represented in wooden strips encasing the light. Wood is used to show texture reminiscent of rock formations. Stained wood becomes lighter as it gets to the center emulating varying shades that occur in natural landscapes. The inner ring rotates symbolizing the changes in landscape over a period of time.
