This mask impersonates Garuda, the solar bird who is the vehicle of Vishnu. It is used to frighten away the Cobra Demon. Garuda is decorated with the enemy snakes, as if they were a sort of trophy
People believe that Cobras which are presented on the head are Rakshasas (demons) themselves, transformed into poisonous snakes to capture enemies and enslave them

Is responsible for warding off evil.Mask represents the anger through colors and fire decoration. Extra irritation is represented by abstraction of purposefully enlarged ears
