Wiggle, giggle, dance and sway, have some fun the Rock ‘n’ Kids way! Tot Rock and Kid Rock are movement and imagination classes with a music base. All class procedures are designed to keep staff and students safe. Activities are age-appropriate by class and include songs and rhymes, rhythm and coordination, fine and gross motor, imagination and sensory, listening, and following directions skills. With a focus on STEAM learning, each session will have a new educational theme!

Kid Rock

Ages 1-5

Zumba Kids

Ages 4-7

It’s a kid’s fitness party! Children will learn fun dance moves to increase focus, boost selfconfidence, and enhance coordination, all while increasing metabolism and having a great time!

EDUCATIONAL VARIETY New Horizons Preschool

The New Horizons program is designed to provide an opportunity for social and emotional growth as well as a beginning adjustment to a more formal school experience. The program is based on the philosophy that children learn more through play. Play provides opportunities for children of all abilities to participate in common activities, yet allows for success and mastery. This is paramount in the foundation of self-esteem and selfconfidence. A knowledgeable staff works together to provide a safe and happy environment. Parent involvement in the classroom is encouraged!

Program Takeaways:

• Language, listening, and speaking activities • Art and sensory activities • Social skills with conflict resolution • Science and math skills • Problem-solving techniques

Young 3’s Program:

• For a first away-from-parent experience • Emphasis on socialization skills • Pull-ups are allowed in this class only. Parents must be available to change their child. • Children must be 3 by January 1, 2022 to be in this program

Pre-Kindergarten Class:

• Designed for children with late birthdays or need another year of growth • Curriculum includes activities in pre-reading, writing, hands-on math, science, cooking, and more. • Must be age 5 by January 1, 2022

Registration for the 2021-2022 school year

Resident registration begins Monday, March 1

Parents must register their own children. Only in-person registration is allowed at the Civic Center or Eastside Community Center. A $20 non-refundable registration fee and the correct deposit is due at the time of registration.

Monthly Fees & Times for School Year 2021-2022

Monthly payments are due the first day of the month, September through May. A $10 late fee will be assessed after the 1st of the month. The New Horizons school year runs from early September to the end of May. If snow days are used during the school year, those days will not be made up.

EDUCATIONAL VARIETY Kids’ Club

Kids’ Club for Kindergarten – Grade 5

This dynamic and successful program provides before and after school activities that are enriching and recreational in a wellsupervised setting. Daily activities can include gym activities, science, arts and crafts, and homework time. This program will run in conjunction with the school calendar.

Program Details:

• Before school hours are 6:30-8:45 am • After school hours are 3:30-6:30 pm • Kids’ Club is offered at Grace McWayne, H.C.

• Withdrawals and changes in attendance are due by the 7th of the month prior to the change. No refunds for lesser commitments, cancellations, or withdrawals will be provided after April 1 for the current school year.

Fast Pass

Fast Pass offers flexibility for working guardians and supports our mission to provide a safe environment for children, by allowing participants to attend an extra day beyond their normal Kids’ Club commitment. All fast passes need to be used within the school year of purchase. Example: if purchased in 2020/2021 school year the pass is not valid in August 2021. To keep rates reasonable, we do not honor exchanges or pro-rate the fast pass.

Fast Pass is sold in sets of five visits.

Klub Fun

Grades K-5

Looking for someplace to go and something to do on school days off? Look no further! Klub Fun is a structured recreational program that includes indoor special events, special guests, gym time, craft activities, and an afternoon snack. All your fun is included in the fee, so be ready to have a blast! There is no transportation provided on school days off. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes, and bring a sack lunch. Klub Fun withdrawals close seven business days prior to the Klub Fun day or the first Klub Fun day of a break. Refunds are not given after this date. Late registration is subject to a fee and wait-list. You help us plan ahead, and we help you save! Register for Klub Fun by the 15th of the month prior and save $5 off of each day registered.

Bulldog Crimson/ Gold Camp

Bulldog Crimson/Gold Camp

Grades K-6

During off-site learning days, join us for the Bulldog Crimson/Gold Camp, a structured, recreational enrichment program that includes designed times for students to complete their remote learning while breaking for gym time, craft activities, and outdoor fun! The program takes place Monday – Friday at the Civic Center, from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm. Select from half-day or full-day options and as few or as many days of the week that best accommodates your schedule. View the schedule at bataviaparks.org.
