BIOGRAPHY Elle Danielle began her journey in Pulaski, Virginia before she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to begin her junior year in high school. She always had an interest in the arts and enjoyed drawing and painting. Elle went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a degree in Political Science. After college, she spent a year working in the restaurant business gaining customer service experience and learning about working with people. She went on to the Cumberland School of Law where she was a Caruthers Legal Writing Fellow and wrote for Trial Journal. After law school, she worked in a firm setting but found that family law was better suited for her. Family law was fulfilling, because she got to impact people’s lives and make a bigger difference. The dissatisfying parts of her job including watching families fall apart and dealing with the stress of her cases. After taking some family pictures and fine-tuning her skills, she decided to start pursuing photography as more than a fun outlet for her creativity. After leaving the firm, she started with family and lifestyle photography. She was asked to do a wedding later on. Elle said, “At first I was extremely nervous, but I jumped in head first and it worked out great.” Elle now does mostly wedding photography along with lifestyle and family photos. She does about half of her weddings in Alabama, but has traveled for a number of photography sessions and weddings over the years. Elle has found her passion in

photography and said, “Photography is about capturing those little details and preserving those memories. I am inspired by love and am fortunate to have a career that allows me to be a part of some of life's biggest and happiest milestones. Elle has recently moved to Auburn with her son Greyson and intends to expand her business into the Auburn area, while enjoying the motherly duties she cherishes.

BACKGROUNDER Elle Danielle realized she had a knack for photography when she started taking pictures at family events and wanted to learn more about the art of photography. After a few years as an attorney, Elle decided to make the transition into photography because she found it brought her more joy and she could bring a special quality to her customers. She began with mostly family or lifestyle photography. Eventually she started shooting weddings and found she had a real talent connecting with her customers and seeing those connections in her photography. Elle felt that making a connection with her clients helped to make them feel more comfortable and that comfort allowed them to let their personalities shine through in her pictures. She felt that the pictures were more candid and real if it seemed like a close friend was just capturing the moment rather than a hired photographer. These connections and real relationships are how she built her business and set her vision for what she wanted her photography business to become. Elle said, “Connecting with my clients allows me to do more than take their picture, it helps me to capture the chemistry between a wife and her husband, a child's personality, the love of family. My goal is to document the moments that matter to you most, in the most genuine and beautiful way. About half of her weddings are in Alabama, because this is where she began her business. However, with recommendations or destination weddings, she has gotten the

opportunity to shoot in Mexico, Jamaica, and hopes to one-day shoot in Italy. Her business has grown organically through recommendations and word of mouth within the industry. As she has moved, her business has adapted to the changes, however she is very comfortable traveling for her clients to make sure their pictures show their personality and values. Regarding weddings, Elle knows that a wedding day is extremely stressful, and as a photographer, wants to make sure she is not causing any stress on the bride and groom but rather capture the real moments happening throughout the day. She wants to be a friend and counselor to the family that interacts with them throughout the day rather than a photographer making them pose constantly. This makes her work much more candid and less posed.

Social Media Instagram: Posting an instagram video of your editing process sped up would be an interesting way to let your followers take a look at your process. Seeing the process a photographer goes through to make your pictures absolutely perfect also may show them the value of a professional photographer at special events. Twitter: Tweeting about where you are doing photo shoots, or what your favorite part of a shoot was can help engage your followers in your process. Also, if they haven’t had time to keep up with your blog, this could be a short and sweet way of them keeping up with your business.
