THINKWELL GROUP: PROFESSIONAL WORKS
Show Set Designer Internship PLACE: Thinkwell Group, Los Angeles, CA DATE: Oct 2016 - Jan. 2017 During my internship at Thinkwell Group, I assisted my project lead in developing drawings for Lionsgate Entertainment World show set deck. Additionally, I laid out and detailed plan, RCP, and elevation sheets with finish notes. As part of a professional development exercise I also translated hand drawn illustrations into AutoCAD line work.

VEILED NOSTALGIA M.ARCH PROJECT PROGRAM: Helmut Newton Photography Museum SITE: Berlin, Germany DATE: Spring 2013 This project is an investigation into the past of the city of Berlin and the qualities of Helmut Newton’s photography. The final design overlaid figureground maps of the Kulturforum site in Berlin from before and after WWII. The resulting image from the overlaid maps was used to create the form of the photography museum. The qualities from Newton’s photographs were used to shape the spatial experiences of the museum. The green roof scape situated in between the extruded concrete perimeter walls acts as a mediator between the surrounding context and the museum.

ARCHITECTURE OF ILLUSION An Investigation into Cinematic Architecture Through the Divine Comedy M.ARCH THESIS PROJECT PROGRAM: The Divine Comedy SITE: Camden Town, London, England DATE: Spring 2014 This thesis project departs from Guy Debord’s Society of the Spectacle by claiming that architecture temporarily supports a passive acceptance of the environment. Architecture has the ability to confront its own crisis of spectacle by offering a different illusion. This thesis project proposes to create an architectural device through which an illusion can occur that aids in altering the perception of reality and counter the illusion of spectacle described by Debord. The illusion to act as a model for this project will be the cinematic illusion. An architecture of cinematic illusion seeks to question how reality can be perceived through a focus on persistence of vision and suspension of disbelief. 24

Limbo This space represents Limbo, the first level of Inferno Dante experiences. In Limbo, un-baptized pagans wait without hope. The space is intended to be a space to sit and contemplate on benches. Here the stone used in the wall has changed from sandstone to a schist stone. The paving has also changed from slate to brick. This was done to differentiate the a main space from a secondary space. 5.6 Renderings of Entry to Hell (above) and Limbo (below)

Empyrean
The space below is the last room in the Paradiso sequence., the Empyrean. In Paradiso, the E pyrean is where the Gods reside. Empyrean was storyboarded as being filled with light and having a
ceiling. In the final designed space, the Empyrean is a large circular room with a large dome. An ocu
fills the space with light. The facade is a translucent marble to further fill the space with light. The sp
structured in a steel frame and truss and the paving of the floor is a cream marble to give a lightness materiality of the space. The space contains an alter and benches for prayer and reflection.
