MEET KATHRYN Hello, I’m Kathryn ...wife, mother and owner of probably too many pairs of shoes! I love weddings, I am a big (hopeless?) romantic and I am passionate about photography. Photographing people is what I enjoy most and I will never tire of witnessing the ‘sparks’ between a couple who have just pledged their lives to each other. I consider it a true privilege to be asked to be the person to witness these special moments. Since my first wedding back in 2011 I have trained with some of the best names in the industry and continue to do so. The world of photography never stops evolving and I am keen to ensure I keep up with it! My Style My images are relaxed and contemporary. I focus on my couples and their emotions. My Intentions I intend to deliver images that you are in love with! I’ll add to your wedding day by keeping you stress-free and breezing through your wedding day photos. I hope to become your friends through the process and stay in touch with you as your story continues.

“The results are above and beyond our expectations! Every guest has since mentioned what a lovely team you were and although very professional, you felt like a friend to everyone. With huge thanks and love, Mr & Mrs Treend xx!
sit back, relax, & let me take care of the rest.
The biggest day of your life doesn’t have to be as stressful as everyone makes it out to be. As your photographer, I will hold your hands, wipe away your tears (of joy, hopefully), and make you feel as comfortable as possible so you can focus on living in the moment. The best pictures are the ones that are the most natural. Whether an image is taken candidly or with some gentle direction these are the memories I hope to create for you to cherish for years to come. Just relax, enjoy the day, and be the beautiful YOU that you are!
“Every couple is different and each wedding unique. I capture the big things, the little things & everything in between so that you can re-live the memories whenever you look through your wedding photographs
Wedding Tips little details count The more unique, the better! When planning for the big day, remember to include fun accessories! Your shoes, jewellery, flowers and decor will make your wedding pictures that much more memorable. There are lots of sources of inspiration but remember that this is your wedding! Detail your day around what you love and don’t be afraid to step out of the box and try something completely new! Some of my couples’ favourite images from their wedding day end up being the detail shots that are taken throughout the day. Details help tie everything together and tell the story of behind-the-scene moments.
Gather everything together Gather together all your details before the day starts so I can photograph them quickly! This makes the getting ready portion of the day go by much more smoothly and it allows me to spend more time focusing on the spontaneous moments when everyone is together. Here is a list of details you could include: wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, rings, jewellery, hair pieces, flowers, shoes, perfume, invitations & other printed pieces, cufflinks, socks, letters, gifts and any other unique items you have put thought into.
On the day Remember to relax and enjoy it - all the hard work and planning is done!
Top Tip! Think about getting a wooden hanger for your dress. They photograph well and are great keepsakes for years to come.

Beautiful Portraits I believe that couple portraits are some of the most important images taken at a wedding. Not only are these photos of the most important people at the wedding (you!) they allow you to spend some precious time together away from your guests on an otherwise busy day. Be sure to allow at least 30 minutes in your wedding timeline to get these stunning shots.
“Wow! Words cannot explain what a fantastic job you did on our special day THANK YOU you are truly amazing at what you do” Charlotte & Alec
FAmily Photos & Group Shots Along with the candid and natural portraits taken throughout the day most couples like to also include formals with family and friends. The best time to do formal family portraits is typically right after the ceremony. This time can be extra chaotic if family members and friends are not all in the same place.
recommendations It helps to have a designated friend who can pro-actively gather the groups so I can focus on creating beautiful photos. Usually this person knows the groups pretty well, they have a loud voice and they can round people up with ease! Keep your list of groups short. Please note that each group shot can take up to 5 minutes. We would all love to have photos with every important person at the wedding but time is of the essence. Less is more in this type of situation. I recommend no more than 6-8 group shots. If you would like more formal shots please ensure that your wedding day timetable accommodates this. When these recommendations are in place you are well on the road to fun and smooth formal portraits! This also allows for fun and creative wedding party photos afterwards as well as romantic couple portraits.
“Kathryn was perfect. Unobtrusive to the point that we barely noticed she was there, which was ideal for the reportage shots we wanted; but focused and gently authoritative when it came to whizzing through our formal poses and group shots. She was completely flexible and we really don’t know how she managed to shoot as much as she did! From start to finish, she was calming, cheerful, patient and enthusiastic. She even laced me into my dress whilst my Mum and bridesmaids were busy dealing with a last-minute hiccup. Invaluable! Our shots are superb. The wedding was traditional yet relaxed and the pictures capture that perfectly.” Eleanor & Nick
FAQ’s Q: What makes your work different from other photographers? A: I take all of my photos in relaxed settings and try to use natural lighting as often as possible. Should additional light be required I have the equipment to make this possible. My sessions are relaxed, candid & fun!
Q: Will we get the print release to our photos? A: Yes! Upon receiving your images, you will also get a full print release.
Q: How many photographers will be at our wedding? A: I like to work with a second photographer at larger weddings in order to get multiple perspectives and extra shots of all of the details. Generally my ‘seconds’ are talented trainees who are looking to pursue a career in photography.
Q: Do you have a list of preferred suppliers to use? A: Yes I do! From wedding planners to florists and caterers, we have worked with some of the best companies in the industry and would be happy to share their information with you!
Q: How do we reserve our date? A: Send me an email at kathryn@klpphotography.co.uk, and I can give you more information on this. A non refundable booking fee and signed contract is required in order to secure your wedding date in the diary. Four weeks prior to your wedding, the remainder of the balance is due.
Q: Do I have to order prints through you? A: I highly recommend ordering prints through me but it is not required. The difference in quality is HUGE when it comes to ordering through a local printer and a professional lab, so I encourage my couples to let me help with prints!
Q: What equipment do you use? A: I use professional Nikon equipment - the D3s, the 24-70mm lens, 50 mm lens, 70-200 mm lens, & the 60 mm lens, amongst other items. I also have a backup in the rare event that anything should occur to my camera or lenses.

Wedding Albums Why choose a wedding album? Wedding albums are tangible and tactile, a physical reminder of your wedding day. They last for generations, and aren’t in danger of becoming corrupt over time. It is one thing to view your digital photographs on a computer or other device, but it is something entirely different to see, touch and look through a hand-crafted album full of carefully selected images to tell your story.
Parent Albums Folio’s parent albums are 6” x 6” in size and within their pages hold an exact replica of the design of the main album. If you would prefer to include different images in your parent albums please refer to my regular album prices.
The process Designing your album with me is really easy.* To keep the process as smooth as possible I’ll start off by asking you to select your best loved images from your wedding gallery. I will then design your album around these images to tell your story. I ask that you trust me as a photographer and designer to design a beautiful album for you. The album layout mockup will be sent to you electronically and your will have the chance to make two rounds of edits to the design. Additional edits are charged accordingly. Contact me for more details if you have questions about your album.
The timeline Please allow up to one month for the initial design to be sent over following receipt of your list of most loved images. There is a one month window to make edits after the initial design is sent over. Once you have approved your album design please allow 6 weeks for delivery of your completed album. *Albums will only be designed and ordered once full payment has been received.

Love Shoots what to wear
‘Be creative and let your personality shine!’ Be true to your style - the best photos are the ones where people are just being themselves. So above all, wear an outfit you’re comfortable in and that accentuates your style and best features. Coordinate Colours. This doesn’t mean matchy-matchy, it just means that you wear colours that complement each other and pieces that have common shades. If your other half is more comfortable in solid colours, try choosing something with a little texture. Layers and textures are beautiful and create interest. Try mixing clothing materials. Having different layers of clothing and accessories can add another dimension to your images. These details and added depth are especially important in black and white photographs. Choose a top with sleeves at least to the elbow because your arms take up more skin area than your face and will draw attention. Sleeveless or short sleeve tops may also make your arms look larger. Choose long trousers for men/ladies or a skirt below the knee for ladies so that your legs don’t take attention from your face. This will also allow you to sit and bend without showing too much leg! Avoid anything too trendy. You want your outfit to be current and contemporary, but not something that’s going to be embarrassing in a couple of years! Stay clear of logos and designs on shirts, etc. Wear playful accessories! Play up your femininity if the outfit is edgy or choose edgy jewellry to balance super feminine outfits. If your outfit is pretty casual, try sprucing it up with a pretty necklace, high heels or cute flats. Do your hair the way you would normally do it while wearing your chosen clothes. Wear your normal make-up and don’t forget the lipstick! If you have any questions just ask - I’ll be happy to help! www.klpphotography.co.uk | 07961 071585 kathryn@klpphotography.co.uk
