graphic design standards This graphics standards manual has been prepared by No Place Like Home to ensure consistency in the use of the company’s logo and brand identity. This manual should be referred to for accurate and appropriate usage of the logo and is essential to the effectiveness of the brand identity in both print and electronic forms. With expected growth and expansion in the future, it is imperative to project our brand in a cohesive manner. The standards and guidelines presented in this manual have firm institutional support.

history No Place Like Home is a company specializing in fashionable women’s teleportation footwear. We pride ourselves on being a small but immensely relevant company. Our logo is meant to portray our sense of style as well as our commitment to excellence. Drawing inspiration from Dorothy, we sincerely believe there is no place like home. Our logo is formed by the joining of two high-heeled red sequined shoes. In the negative space between the two shoes is a heart. Our logo is meant to communicate our fashion relevance as well as our sincerity and desire to serve our clients.

BASIC LOGO STANDARDS


logo construction

The logo is created by joining a left and right shoe so that a heart is created in the negative space. The two shoes together form the logo and therefore, the only appropriate depiction of the logo involves both shoes, as depicted in the right-hand image. It may not be modified, altered, or reconstructed in any way. Typography, color, and reproduction specifications are included in the subsequent pages.

The independent parts of the logo, however, may be used as graphic elements, as seen on the cover of this manual. The shoe graphic may be used as can the red sequin pattern.

minimum size The minimum size for the logo is a width of .75 inches.

rotation The logo should never be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise or at any angle other than the angle at which it was designed, or straight up and down.

distortion The logo should never be distorted, skewed, or changed otherwise. When resizing, the logo must retain its original proportions.

effects No shadow, gradient, or any other type of effect may be applied to the logo.

While the actual logo does not contain any type, it is important to be cohesive in the production of materials associated with the company. Therefore, no place like home has chosen fonts that are acceptable to use in conjunction with the logo. We hope you will adhere to our typography choices to ensure the consistency and clarity of the corporate identity.

process matching Please use the provided colors for CMYK, RGB, and HTML that correspond to each Pantone. These should be used for all print and web applications. The colors included in the no place like home logo are included on this page. Please use the provided color values for branding applications. It is acceptable to use variations of the provided colors to complement and enhance the visual identity and branding of no place like home. Acceptable uses would be, for example, the background of a publication, or menu bar on a website. Please reference the color palette for some acceptable solutions. color reproduction

black and white When the primary colors cannot be used, rendering the logo in black and white is acceptable. However, reversing the logo to white is unacceptable because too much detail will be removed from the full-color logo.

background The preferred background for the logo will not interfere with the colors used in the design. The preferred colors are listed on the previous page. It is not acceptable to use a patterned background with the full color logo. Additionally, the opacity of the logo may not be changed.

other guidelines When using black and white, any color background is acceptable. Additionally, the black and white logo may be placed over a photograph so long as the logo is still clear and easily discernible. The opacity on the logo may never be decreased.

In the incorporation of the logo onto products, the logo should be placed in the center of the footbed. The logo should remain in full color, unless the color of the footbed draws attention away from the logo, competes with it, or renders it unreadable. No text is necessary.
