To the Letter Cool acrylic adds extra dimension to stationery and day-of paper goods. Invitations are sandwiched between two sheets of plexiglass, making them feel like mini works of art; leather envelope pouches (which also hold letterpressed RSVP cards and envelopes) give the whole package a luxurious feeling. We also laser-etched guests’ names into acrylic rectangles and set them over pale-blue cards, for an elegantly modern place card–menu combination. THE DETAI LS: Yonder Design stationery suite, envelope pouch, and menu card, prices upon request, yonderdesign.com.

Rock Star A classic tiered wedding cake coated in buttercream and pale sanding sugars—with the barest hints of blue, green, and yellow—shimmers with subtle glamour. But it’s the bed of rock candy on which the confection rests that elevates this dessert to a crystalline wonder. Enclose the whole thing in an acrylic case atop a pedestal, where it can be admired before cake-cutting time. T H E DETAI LS : Sanding sugars, $2.25
Tie It Up A mixed bouquet of clematis leaves, Japanese carnations, garden roses, tree peonies, ranunculus, and anemones is a riot of happy hues. A satin ribbon extends the color story, and clear vinyl (cut in strips from a wide sheet) around the stems helps to provide structure and give you a handle on the situation. T HE DE TAILS : French double-faced satin
ribbon, 2", in Pastel Peach, $5 per yd., mjtrim.com. Clear vinyl, 20 gauge, $9 per yd., joann.com.
