About the eBook This book covers the standard CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.3.G.A.1: Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories. It is based of off a third grade math level because it was in third grade when I first developed my love for learning, especially mathematics. I struggled with geometry and shapes for a while so this book is to help my fellow young-ins strive in all thing QUAD! 2
About the Author
Hello everyone, my name is Katie Johnson and I was born in raised in Ocean City, New Jersey. I am a beach bum who found her way out to the midwest to pursue a education. I attended Indiana University where I majored in elementary education with a focus in health education. My wonderful 5 years at IU not only gave me the chance at a wonderful education, but I also had the chance to compete at the Division 1 level in the sport of Field Hockey. Balancing my time through school, practice and games was tough but it taught me major life lessons that I hope to share with my future students. I wrote this book because math has always been a favorite subject of mine, and being able to share my knowledge with other people is important to me! Enjoy! 3

After you have finished reading and going through the eBook, the last two pages are specifically for review of what you learned while going through the pages. Meet the Rhombus: It is a flat shape with four equal sides.
Opposite sides are parallel
Opposite angles are equal in degree
Angles bisect in the center to form right angles.
The perimeter can be determined by adding up the the sides
Since sides are all equal in length, the equation for finding the perimeter is 4s It’s cute, catchy, and it shows you all about the Rhombus!! 6

Rectangles have: Opposite sides of a rectangle are the same length (congruent).
The angles of a rectangle are the same size and measure
has four right angles.
Opposite angles of a rectangle are congruent.
Opposite sides of a rectangle are parallel.
Area = L x w Perimeter = L + w + L + w = 2L + 2w
