We invite you to learn, connect, create and build capacity to make Western Australia a better place for all.
THE WAREHOUSE CAFE OPEN HOUSE VENUE
This is not a conference. It is a festival where you can choose whether to come to one event or 20 at venues around Perth, and we take the opportunity to celebrate, amplify and accelerate all the great people, organisations, ideas, networks and collaborations across all sectors that are creating positive social impact. Together we can create the societal impact we want to see. Make change matter.

CREATING
DEMONSTRATING
To create something is to bring it into existence and give it a life that wasn’t there before. Creating social impact is about generating positive change in the community. This day is about showcasing some of the most exciting and innovative ideas, people, organisations and collaborations advancing social change in WA. Hear from social entrepreneurs, CEOs, non-profit directors and plenty more.
It’s with great anticipation that we bring you some of Australia’s leading changemakers for a series of workshops, seminars and talks on the theme of Demonstrating Social Impact. We will delve into the pressing questions of how to tangibly make a difference and demonstrate it: the key ingredients to any recipe for lasting social change.
Innovation. Entrepreneurship. Design.
Research. Measurement. Evaluation.
Key speakers include Professor Kristy Muir (Centre for Social Impact, UNSW), Dr Ingrid Burkett (Australian Centre for Social Innovation) and Professor Harry Blagg (UWA Law School).
FESTIVAL OPENING
Wednesday 20th July, 6pm – 8pm Octagon Theatre, UWA Think about our future. What concerns you? What inspires you? Join us to begin your festival journey at the Festival Opening, no matter where that journey takes you in the week that follows. A mixed program of music, dance, story and speech will inspire curiosity, compassion, and courage. Don’t miss this important event featuring a Welcome to Country by Dr Richard Walley and key speakers Michael Chaney AO (Chancellor, UWA) and Dr Cassandra Goldie (CEO, Australian Council of Social Service).

FUNDING
LEADING
Investment. Philanthropy. Ethical Consumerism.
Organisation. Collaboration. Systems.
In the world of social impact, we know that money really does matter. How can we realistically and sustainably fund our visions? What are the winning strategies, common mistakes and leading ideas for attracting investment? Through success stories and reflections on what has and hasn’t worked, this day will help set the agenda for the future of funding social impact.
The Leading Social Impact day is about recognising the need for sustainable leadership, on individual, organisational and systemic levels. Beginning the day with stories on the theme followed by a series of workshops and seminars, we’ll be addressing the questions around leading social impact successfully. The future of WA has never looked so exciting.
