Editor’s Message Hey Monsters! My name is Katie Nguyen and I serve as your 2019-2020 Bulletin Editor! I’m currently a junior and upcoming senior, I can’t wait to spend my last year at Franklin serving my home, school, and community in Key Club! Part of the executive board, I hope you all are excited for the new term! We have a lot in store for you all, be sure to stay tuned! I am so excited for this new Key Club year, I wish you all the best in your journey throughout Key Club!
President’s Message Hey Monsters! My name is Andrea Lee and I’m your president for the 2019-2020 term. I’m currently a junior and I’m super excited to serve you guys for the new term! I hope to see everyone serve and for Franklin Key Club to reach our goals! This year I hope that, together, Franklin Key Club can achieve the Diamond Distinguished recognition. I also hope that our club can volunteer 5,000 hours for the term and to raise $1,000 for PTP. Another thing I hope to achieve is to raise our club funds and with the help of our treasurer, Katrina Do, have a fundraiser every two months. Why does this matter? It helps to lower the costs for events like Fall Rally North at Six Flags and District Convention! I hope that we can all come together as one Ohana this term and reach our goals!

A Blossoming Spring Arlene Hein Elementary Carnival Festival Photo Taken by Katrina Do
With summer just around the corner, members of Key Club came to help Arlene Hein Elementary with their carnival. Members got to participate in various activities ranging from setting up to monitoring game activities!

“Overall, I had a lot of fun volunteering at Arlene Hein. There many game stations such as the horseshoe toss, ping pong cups, beanbag toss. I enjoyed helping out with the games and seeing all the young children at Arlene Hein having a great time with their parents. It was Photo Taken by such a chaotic yet Carey Wong fun environment to volunteer in, and just seeing the children having fun and smiling with their friends and
family at the carnival festival motivated me to come back next year to volunteer.

Following the District Convention 2019
Rabbit Hole Ending the Key Club year on a final note, members throughout our CNH district came together for days filled with learning, fun, and good byes. We turn over a new leaf with the transition of our IPs and bring in our newest district board: Chuofan Yu as District Gov-
ernor, Lawrence Gerald Guittap as District Secretary, and Kristie Poon as District Treasurer.
Courtney Luu | IP Member Relations The three days of my first DCON in Ontario were absolutely amazing! Although we were a little late and stressed on the first day, the following days made up for it. We went to various workshops to learn leadership skills and about the various positions in Key Club, and attended general sessions to meet our IP district board, new board, IP Kiwanis governor, and new Kiwanis governor. Towards the end of DCON, we were able to witness the retirement and installment of the new board (L-O-V-E love my LTG!). Many tears were shed knowing that we had to say our goodbyes, and that some of us were not going to see each other again. My first DCON brought me so much happiness and fond memories, and I can’t wait until next year!
Isaiah Ou | Secretary Before going, I was skeptical about the cost and the value of DCON. However, looking back, I now realize that it was totally worth it. I had so much fun and I learned so much about Key Club that I can confidently say that I will forever remember my experiences there.
