When starting this little guide, I was in search of the ultimate girl next store. I was thinking left, right, up, and down, but little did I realize the perfect woman was standing right in front of me... literally. Lindsey and I first met a few short weeks ago when she spoke at my office with her business partner, Hillary of Vibe Tribe Creative. We both went to Mizzou (go tigers!) and had a ton of mutual friends. It's funny to think that this was our first in person encounter. After listening to both ladies speak about their design and branding company, it was such a refreshing feeling to connect with liked minded creative professionals. They had very
inspiring stories, and at the same time, are 110% authentic in what they do. Shortly after, I knew I had to work with Lindsey in a more artistic light - that's where the amazing portraits come from scattered through out this guide, my blog and on Instagram. I'm excited to share even more fun facts about Lindsey through this issue's "Girl Next Door" feature highlighting 36 quick questions. Think Vogue interview, rapid fire style. Wow, impossible to pick. Mikael Jansson is one of them. I also love the piece Steven Klein photographed for W Magazine of The Pitts in 2005. Annie Leibovitz I’ve admired forever. A recent favorite is Nico Guilis of Find Your California-I really hope to collaborate with her in some way. For old prints, Henri Cartier-Bresson. It's all in the details. From cleaning up on a Saturday afternoon to preparing the house for a dinner with friends or kicking back on the couch to tune into a new episode of The Bachelor, my little coffee table sees a lot of action from day to day. Typically a coffee table is used for serving beverages, propping up your feet and a dropping place for your lost accessories. However, I see it as another focal point in the home. Grab your pretty magazines, bring out the spring florals and fill that cookie jar with lemons (or cookies...) because it's time to decorate. This spring and summer, I've searched for all the bright and poppy pieces to add to my coffee table. You would be surprised how much a little bit of color can do to really liven up your place! So friends, while you're decorating your home with traditional seasonal decor, I'm over here trying to create the cutest and most organized coffee table you ever did see.

Who says your most casual piece has to be the most boring? There is nothing like finding the perfect accessories for one of the most basic items in your closet. We know there are several ways to style your plain white tee, but thanks to a little help from my sweet & talented friends over at Sed Bona, Style Charade, The Kissing Booth Blog and Charmingly Styled - you'll be looking better than ever in that tee of yours. We've put together simple and easy ways for you to go from couch to date night. Keep it Simple: Easily pair your tee with your new flare jeans or distressed denim for a casual style. Add a heel and simple accessories like a skinny belt to pull the look together. Weekend grocery shopping just became so much more chic.
Add Layers: The most basic tee meets the most basic style tip - layers! Ashley added her chambray button up over her tee for a breezy spring day. Paired with a floral skirt and brown accessories, this look is perfectly pretty all season long! Liven It Up: All your tee needs is a bit of color to really make it pop. Jenn's pretty midi skirt is the perfect way to instantly get you in the mood for spring. Plus, how adorable are pleats? Don't have a midi skirt - a mini or maxi will work great too! Polish it Off: Easily polish up your look with a tailored jacket and high heel like Sarah. Simply switch out your heels for flats and add a cute crossbody to parr down your look for a morning coffee and donut break or evening ice cream stroll. Make it Office Appropriate: Sometimes all we need for a productive day at work is a comfy ensemble. Although it would be amazing to wear leggings and converse to the office - it's not exactly business casual.
