what you wear should represent
you.
Hair, Skin & Nails The preparation for your photoshoot - touching up your roots, exfoliating your body, getting a fresh manicure - is what makes the day of your shoot exciting and gets you in the right mood. A few days or a week before your shoot, take yourself out for a mini spa day, enjoy it, and relax! Getting these three areas of your body ready for your shoot will make your feel great, and guarantee that your images reflect the look you want - clean, fresh, glowing YOU, Tips: a French manicure or nude nails will probably be the most timeless options. If you are a red nails kind of woman, go for it, just keep in mind that what you wear will be in your photographs, so make sure you love whatever it is.

Simple is sexy
A
s a woman, when you think about being photographed, the first thought that goes through your mind is: “What should I wear?” For some reason, putting on the right outfit gives us confidence and security. When you think about choosing your four-to-five outfits, consider what parts of your personality you want to express. Remember to think about how you want to be photographed, as the clothing you bring in will determine how I photograph you. Do you have a red dress bombshell look you love but don’t often get to embrace? Or do you love a plunging neckline but don’t want to show that much in real life? Maybe you have a dress that doesn’t zip up anymore but will still photograph beautifully from the front? Bring it anyway! Often times, things you think aren't perfect could work. Your accessories are another great place to add some attitude to your look. Sometimes, just one piece of jewelry can be all you need to add some edge to your look. I love simple accessories, a great pair of earrings or a drop dead gorgeous ring. Long necklaces you can play with really look great with a bit of lingerie or a corset. Bring accessories that make you feel fashionable – a Vogue-inspired hat or long pearl necklace or scarf. It is important to bring a variety of tones,
textures, and layers so we can capture you in a variety of ways. Remember, simple really IS sexy. Also, don’t feel like every outfit you bring has to be a ball gown, bring the simple and casual things too. Bring anything that you love. Bring clothes that are fitted, because these will photograph in a more slimming way than baggy fabrics. We can also put together a very dynamic yet simple look for you with the right layering pieces. I especially love photographing nude, or peach, and black on black. Go for the touchable materials that create feminine appeal, or are a bit flirty. Go for movement and softness. Or go for a mix of feminine and masculine, and bring a great fitted blazer that makes you feel powerful. You can start with a casual white tank top and jeans and go through to a super glamorous dress. The most important thing is that what you bring represents who you are, but don’t be afraid to get a little extra sexy for your photoshoot! Try to steer clear of loud colors, obnoxious patterns, and logos. Also avoid loose or baggy clothing. Even for curvier girls, fitted fabrics are more slimming than anything else. We don’t want any part of your clothing to distract from the most important part of the photograph: you.
