As you can see, Slovenia is a tiny country with the best position - in the heart of Europe. You can easily combine your trip with many other countries of Western Europe and the rest of the Balkans. It borders Italy on the west –Venice is only 100 miles (160 km) from Slovenia, and borders Austria on the north –Vienna, another European giant, is 150 miles (240 km) from the border.
In Italy, Milano is 250 miles (400 km) away, Shakespeare’s Verona is within 155 miles (250 km). The Austrian Alps are just across the border – we can even organize a dinner for you in all three countries – appetizer in Slovenia, first course in Italy, main course in Austria and a dessert again in Slovenia.

The island of Hvar is the place with the most hours of sunshine in Europe – more than 2800 hours a year! You can cruise around the islands or just relax on one of countless Croatian beaches. Do we even need to tell you anything else?
![](https://assets.isu.pub/document-structure/230426071618-77b23cacb232e4824a00c7e1a566d3cc/v1/6a9025596c3aaf1fa6f64198568f2f69.jpeg?width=720&quality=85%2C50)

Cruising the Croatian coast will definitely boost your appetite, and Croatian gastronomy is all about fresh, local and quality food. But for a truly special experience we can arrange a personalized truffle hunting expedition with an exquisite degustation in the end, or the freshest oyster aphrodisiac treat.

In Croatia you can easily just lie on the fairy-tale beaches or by the pools during your whole trip. But there are plenty of luxurious activities you can try in its unspoiled nature. Glide over the crystal clear waters when sea kayaking or sailing and see Dubrovnik from a completely new perspective. Explore the magical Mediterranean underwater world, its biodiversity and sunken ships while diving. Or go inland biking around, looking for truffles and picking the olives in Istria or get a private trip to Plitvice lakes.
A trip to Croatia also takes you back through time. You will discover centuries-old traditions and the remnants of the civilizations that have passed through. Experience a concert in the third largest still preserved Roman amphitheatre.

Did you know that the Walls of Ston are the longest preserved fortification system in the world after the Great Wall of China?

There is no shortage of unique cultural experiences in Croatia either. Croatia has a very long list of UNESCO protected sites. We can help you see them in a different view – privately, while dinning, through the eyes of the locals. For a trip to ex-Yugoslavia, try the unique Katrca ride (special Yugoslavian old-timer cars) or follow the steps of the former leader Tito. The Roman amphitheatre is the only one with all 3 rows preserved – just imagine the experience of a concert inside.
The beauty of Croatia is well known also through Hollywood movies. Oscar-winning Fiddler on the Roof, Sophie’s Choice, Dr. Who and Star Wars were filmed in Croatia. The island of Vis imitated Greece in the film Mamma Mia 2, while in the early 19th century, thanks to the English poet Lord Byron, Dubrovnik was known as the “Adriatic Pearl” and not only as King’s Landing from Game of Thrones. Do you like any of those? With us you can even get a themed itinerary.
Lastly, Croatia wouldn’t be Croatia without its famous cruises. But there are cruises of many types. You have the typical ones and you have the special gulets, yachts and deluxe cruises that take you to the virgin beaches and deserted islands.
![](https://assets.isu.pub/document-structure/230426071618-77b23cacb232e4824a00c7e1a566d3cc/v1/d39dc941d2d77559095d1b5edcd8d0d9.jpeg?width=720&quality=85%2C50)

DAY 7 – 8: ZADAR – SPLIT
The urban plot of the old city of Zadar dates back to the Roman era, when it was fortified and its walls, towers and entrance doors were built, although the current form comes from the Middle Ages.
After a delicious lunch in a Michelin recommended restaurant you will continue to Split. You will meet a local guide in the historic centre protected by UNESCO.
DAY 9 – 10: SPLIT – DUBROVNIK
Departure from Split to Dubrovnik. Along the way, you will stop in the picturesque village of Ston to taste fresh oysters, other seafood and local wine. The oysters and other seafood are from the Mali Ston Bay, one of the cleanest and clearest waters in the world. In the afternoon, arrival to Dubrovnik and visit of Mount Srđ to enjoy the views over the old town and the Elaphiti Islands. Accommodation and dinner in a luxurious hotel in the exclusive historic center of Dubrovnik.
DAY 11 – 12: DUBROVNIK – AIRPORT
Dubrovnik, a purely Mediterranean city with Byzantine strokes and Slavic flavor is considered one of the most beautiful fortified cities in the world, also known as the “pearl of the Adriatic”. Afternoon is free for exploring the city and shopping. Dinner in a Michelin star restaurant in Dubrovnik.
Croatian seaside is amazing, but it doesn’t have to be all about lying on the beach and soaking up the sun. You can make it pretty active, wild and different. You can try, learn and experience every water sport on your list and feel as luxurious as ever.
![](https://assets.isu.pub/document-structure/230426071618-77b23cacb232e4824a00c7e1a566d3cc/v1/9113f551c06b8716ecda7d38acd135da.jpeg?width=720&quality=85%2C50)
Start of slowly in the Croatian capital of Zagreb. You will wander the streets exploring the rich history, enjoy the many cafes like locals and shop until you drop.
On your way to the coast there is a necessary stop at the Plitvice Lakes National Park – the main Croatian natural attraction protected by UNESCO since 1979. The attraction here are hundreds of waterfalls that link together lakes and streams. You will do this leisurely tour on foot and on a private boat to really take in all it has to offer.
Run away to one of the exotic and deserted Croatian islands and disconnect completely.

On the day three it is finally time for the Mediterranean Sea in Zadar. You can add as much cultural visits of the towns as you want but this particular itinerary is all about being active on water. So get on a boat and get the scenic views of hundreds of Kornati islands.
It is finally time to stop in one of the luxurious hotels, villas or lighthouses along the coast and really enjoy yourself. We recommend the islands of Hvar or Korčula, but you have thousands more to choose from and we can help you with that. Here you can enjoy the diving course, go fishing, learn to sail, wind surf or just get a package of a little bit of everything…
Finish your trip with the inevitable excursion of the eternal Croatian city by the sea – Dubrovnik.
Croatia inspired many books in the past and got flooded by Hollywood in the more modern times. It is full of different filming locations – for example, Mamma Mia 2, Fiddler on the Roof, Sophie’s Choice, Dr. Who and Star Wars. But the star of them all is most definitely the Game of Thrones series.
DAY 1: AIRPO RT – ZAGREB
The programme can start in Zagreb to see a bit more of the non-GOT Croatia, or in any of the nearby airports like Zadar or Split.
![](https://assets.isu.pub/document-structure/230426071618-77b23cacb232e4824a00c7e1a566d3cc/v1/7e7d2088f2c71d603a0d19b19ab4ac1a.jpeg?width=720&quality=85%2C50)

DAY 3: ŠIBENIK – TROGIR – SPLIT
On the way towards Split you will first stop in the picturesque city of Trogir, also known as the City of Qarth – “The Greatest City that Ever Was or Will Be”. Split is already an impressive town with its own real history. Adding to it all, through the amazing GOT location you will get to see a mix of both. Split hosted the city of Meereen, The Slave Rebellion and even Daenerys’ Throne Room.

Croatia is all about the sea. The coastal city of Zadar even has the world’s first pipe organ played by the sea. Croatia has around 3600 miles (5800 km) of coastline. Why around? Because it changes constantly – the famous Zlatni Rat beach changes shape whenever winds are strong enough.
There is no better way to experience Croatia then on one of its famous cruises. You can opt for a typical wooden gulet, modern yachts and deluxe cruises that take you to the virgin beaches and deserted islands. All the itineraries are tailor-made and you get a private crew at your disposal 24/7.
