Foreword September has always felt like the beginning of a new year to me. The light gets softer, the leaves start to turn, and families get ready for a new school year. This time of year is exciting: the season for cosy knits is here! I begin to long for crisp air, I bring out my hats and scarves, and I start to plan what I am going to knit next for my autumn wardrobe. And this autumn I want to share my own collection of cosy knits: The Yarn Play Collection. The Yarn Play Collection showcases a range of stunning yarns from Malabrigo. I loved playing around with these yarns and was inspired by these yarns to design both garments and accessories. The designs are all cosy, autumnal knits with a preppy, school-time feel. I have given each design a little stylish twist: an unexpected texture or a stitch pattern that accentuates shaping. All single patterns from the collection (as well as the whole booklet), are available to download as pdf filles on Ravelry. The Yarn Play is also available in print from MagCloud. The work on this collection began with yarn play and I hope this autumnal collection will inspire you to play with yarn too. Happy knitting,
