Chennai


Chennai is a major industrial, commercial, cultural, economic and educational centre of the southern India. One of the main attraction of this city is the intricately designed Kapaleeshwarar temple, it is a Hindu temple dedicated to lord Shiva. As you go around the town, there are tiny shops selling freshly fried murukku, it is a savoury crunchy snack. There are a lot of shops selling fabrics with toda embroidery or “pukhoor�, as locally known. It is an art work among the Toda pastoral people of Nilgiris, made exclusively by their women.






Kannur is a coastal city in the south Indian state of Kerala, it was once an ancient trading port. The main attraction of this city is the Muthappan Temple. Principal deity of the temple is Sree Muthappan, according to the local tradition the presiding deity is a manifestation of Shiva. One of the locally consumed delicacy here is idiyappam is a rice noodle dish, it consists of rice flour pressed into noodle form and then steamed. Kerala is well known for its articulate craftsmanship, which is an intimate part of their tradition. Coir craft is one of the main crafts performed here, there are different products made out of coir like dolls, doormats and etc.

Here! We have entered the capital of Karnataka, Bengaluru. The climate is pleasant here all-year-around. As we go around the city, we can see tiny little shops where dosa is being made and freshly brewed filter coffee is served. One thing that we can majorly notice around the town are the wooden toys, Channapatna. These are a particular form of wooden toys and dolls , this traditional craft is protected as a geographical indication under the World Trade Organization, administered by the Government of Karnataka.






Welcome to the city of NizamsHyderabad! This city has a blend of rich cultural and historical heritages like Char Minar. This globally recognized structure is known for the popular and busy local markets surrounding the structure. Hyderabad is also known as the city of pearls. This culturally rich city also offers the world’s famous biryani that will pamper your palate in the best way possible.

Navi Mumbai


Mumbai, the city of dreams and the city that never sleeps. Be it day or night, the streets of this city are always loaded with people, one dish that help the people to stay on the go is “vadapav�. One of the main attraction and a structure that represents the city globally is the Gateway of India. Kohlapur is a small town near Mumbai, where the famous Kohlapuri chappals originate from and serve to a diverse target group.






Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat is a planned city which is currently developing as the educational hub of Gujarat with prestigious institutions located here. The tourist attraction of this city includes Akshardham Temple, Dandi Kutir, The Gandhi Museum and Adalaj Stepwell. Adalaj Stepwell was built in 1499, it is a five-storey stepwell which was not just a cultural and utilitarian space, but also a spiritual refuge in the olden times. On the wide streets of this city, you can often see small pop up stalls selling freshly steamed “Khaman�, a Gujarati farsan delicacy.

Jodhpur


Jodhpur, the blue city of Rajasthan is a delightful blend of the contemporary and tradition. When we enter the city we see a lot of men wearing colourful headgear, locally known as “safaa�. Most of men here sport a long moustache. In the main market area the smell of hot & piping kachoris attract and captivates your minds. One of the famous attractions is the puppet show, the puppets are handcrafted in the true Rajasthani essence.






Split by a pair of lakes, Bhopal is two cities within a city. Two starkly contrasting cityscapes, towards the north you have the old city, a fascinating area of mosques, exotic havelis and crowded bazaars while on the south of the two lakes is the new Bhopal with modern upmarket shopping complexes, plush hotels and restaurants. The most loved breakfast for a localite would be poha and jalebi from a local street vendor. One of attraction is the Sanchi Stupa, it is a buddhist complex, famous for its Great Stupa, on a hilltop at Sanchi town. This town is famous for jute products.

Bhubaneshwar


Bhubaneshwar, the ‘city of temples’, named after Tribhuvaneswar, ‘Lord of Three Worlds’, still preserves over 500 of India finest temples, around which the religious life of the city revolves. The main attraction of the city is Mukteshwar temple, it is a brilliant structure which is d edicated to Lord Shiva. Well-known as the “Gem Of Odisha Architecture”. Kotpad handloom is a vegetabledyed fabric woven by the tribal weavers of the Mirgan community of Kotpad village is a speciality of Odisha. Seafood, scrummy sweets and mouth-watering street-food form an integral part of the local cuisine. Their large repertoire of seafood culinary delights includes various recipes of lobsters and crabs.






The former British capital of India boasts of an illustrious past which reflects through the fascinating art, marvellous architecture, and declamatory literature of the city. Howrah bridge is a structure that represents the city globally. When talking about Bengali cuisine, Roshogullas & Sondesh are the dishes that top the priority list. Kantha embroidery is a famous craft of this region, the story revolves around how Lord Shiva consumed poison while stirring up the ocean, and therefore the significance of this word goes all the way back to the vedic times.

Shillong


Shillong, a serene hill station in the lap of nature. As we enter the town, we see a lot of tiny shops where basket weaving is performed. The people here, especially the Garo tribe wear a beautiful headgear with geometric design and feathers. In the main city area, you will notice localities selling homemade momos on small stalls with delicious spicy garlic chutney.






Patna is the capital and largest city of Bihar state. It is situated on the southern bank of the Ganges river and home to many tourist attractions along with pilgrim centres. The Golghar or Gol Ghar is the main attraction of the city, it is a granary in Stupa architecture style and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the city and the Ganges river. The historically rich land of Bihar is equally famous for the plethora of delicacies that feature in its cuisine, one of which is “Litti Chokha�. Madhubani art or Mithila painting is a style of Indian painting, practiced in the Mithila region of the Indian subcontinent. This painting is done with a variety of tools, including fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks and using natural dyes and pigments.







Srinagar


Famously known as ‘Heaven on Earth’, Srinagar is located in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir, on the banks of river Jhelum. Khanqah-e-Moula also known as Shah-e-Hamadan Masjid and Khanqah is one of the oldest mosques in Kashmir, located in the old city. Kashmiri embroidery is largely practised in this region. Kashmiri cuisine mainly includes rice and meat.






Kangra is known for the backdrop of Dhauladar range, ancient temples and endless tea plantations. Repeated mention of the Valley in the holy Hindu texts, present Kangra as ;Devbhumi or Land of the Gods. The main tourist attractions are the cricket stadium at Dharamshala and Mcleodganj, where Dalai Lama Temple is situated. One of the important component of their outfit is the Himachali cap which has embroidery and geometric. patterns.

New Delhi


The national capital territory embraces Old and New Delhi and the surrounding metropolitan region, as well as adjacent rural areas. To the east the territory is bounded by the state of Uttar Pradesh, and to the north, west, and south it is bounded by the state of Haryana. The city consists a lot tourist attractions like Qutub Minar and India Gate. Delhi is famous for the sweet and sour chaats available locally.






Raebareli is a city and a municipal board in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The cuisine is inspired by Mughals. Industries include the milling of agricultural products and hand-loom weaving. The city contains a 15th-century fort and other ancient buildings. Rae Bareli’s surrounding region is a stretch of fairly level plain drained principally by the Sai and Ganges rivers.
