orn in south of India. A recent masters graduate in Interior Architecture from University of Florence, Italy. As an architect, my interests are in design and spaces, but I am perhaps deeper inspired by how people interact with spaces and forms that are existing and the ones that we create. Investigating the relationships between objects, life and space. Curiosity and Inquisitiveness are the distinctive feature that has brought me to developing skills in graphics, increase my interest in contemporary art, gain experience in interior design and creating space through storytelling. Experimenting interior design and scenography with an interest in contemporary art. Looking for a stimulating position in order to my idea of architecture, made for people: not just a made structure but made of emotions.

KNOT Installation - Architecture Exbition

Interior Architecture Studio 1 Year | 2019 Location | Venice, Italy Professor | Farzad Biennale architecture 2020

How will we live together? A Proposed Installation for the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, curated by architect and scholar Hashim Sarkis. The world is putting new challenges in front of architecture, finding solutions to how we are going to rise to these challenges. Answering to a rudimentary interogation of How will we live together?

19

Though at first glance it might seem as the answer to the question,

Can we live together?

is addled, the fact is that we already live together—watching the same television programs, buying the same clothes, and even using the same language to communicate within continents. we live together only to the extent that we make the same gestures and use the same objects— do we not communicate with one another in a meaningful way or govern ourselves together. PROXEMICS - The amount of space that people feel is necessary to connect between themselves and others. Each individuals proximity on differs based on their Geography, Family origin and life itself. The Intersection of proxeme between two or more individual/ things is what has created interaction, brought and kept us togeather. To extend these proxemics in terms of Equity Inclusion and Social Identity, in realtion of a individual to space could be the key to answer. With a question, how? example : a park, a public square, an amphitheater.

A Silenced zone where individuals sway to the tune along light on their headphones, where every tune and light is coupled with another individual creating passive connection. A person has the liberty to choose to interact or connect with a coupled or any individual. The tendency towards growing economic inequalities, Political divides and the increasingly secretarian nature of our social identities as members of ethnic, religious, national groups is rapidly becoming a part of our lives.

23

The more people, the stronger the light. Like a daisy chain of human contact, the more people, the brighter and faster the light. Indicating that human energy is one of the most energised place on earth.

Headphones station Wall of finite headphones : one collects a piece each and proceeds to the enclosed space.

24

End note A brief description on the idea and concept behind the installation in words.

Continuous Show The progressing space is made to enhance the musical and spatial experience with opaque reflective surfaces, playing along the movement of any individual.

Space as stage A platform to exaggerate the experience of oneness, dramatised with a series of orchestrated lights.

TANGERINE TREES AND MARMALADE SKIES Renovated residence

Interior Architecture Design Year | 2018 Location | Kerala, India for State of Design. Vernacular Residence renovation

Tangerine trees, Marmalade skies A vernacular house in kerala (a state in south of India) gearing modern demands, acknowledging cultural roots. Addressing the outline to be tropical modern with musing flair the house is a tropical tribute.

27

Existing structure Proposed structure

The proposed space runs along the lenght and width of the existing structure. The angled roof profile creates identity and spatial drama to both the inside and outside. While the space behind the existing tapers to the other side.

28

The courtyards and green pockets are scooped out of the tapered structure to let in light and ventilation. Which is essentially a feature of the surrounding vernacular language.

Pulling the expansiveness of sky, life around the green down till the courtyard and outspreading it along the house, by adding architectures most elemental feature in it’s very nomenclature.

The arch.

An Arch speaks about openings, beginning and stepping through certain perspectives to see what’s on the other side. Structures with deep resonance. They embody openness within destiny. Fundamentally masculine.

Courtyard that brings light, rain and life.

A concept that is deeply in constant with ministries of hospitality and worship brought language to the design. The interior is composed of scooped and thrown arches, Unrestricted walk through spaces, an open plan yet contradictory to a straight forward single volume.

The lower portion of the structure is perceived as raw, vernacular and earthy, where the arches plays the latter-day feature. Topped with teals and slates the vernacular lime plastered walls coherently plays in bringing the sky indoor.

IN THE RHYTHM OF BRICKS A comercial complex

Architecture Under construction Year | 2018 to present Location | Banglore, India For State of design

Commercial space

Rhythm of bricks A commercial structure with an idea to question the conventional notion of mass-produced architectural products being slapped onto building facades. The project tries to create an image among the buildings in an SEZ

37

The whole design exercise has been perceived to be

crafted, block by block. The Indian office space in a city has been interpreted to be as local and human as possible.

The façade showcases the finesse and richness of traditional crafts and celebrating local craftsmen. The open corner of the plot faces south and west directions. To reduce the heat gain from these sides, the façade has been recessed and partially covered with brick jaalis. Which in turn also gives a solid language to the structure. The design process operates by picking up cues from different aspects such as the client, brief, site and climate to create a meaningful narrative. This ‘narrative’ comes from a very human place, to create emotional value through design, rather than try to be ‘different’ for the sake.

38

The physical form intends to be simple. The design tries to create a relatable scale, for people moving on the street. The frontage towards the main street softens the boundary between the street and the built-form– adding to the ‘approachable’ human scale.

43

Taking cue from existing architectural content, an effort to juxtapose the renaissance backup of the city with existing rustic commonness of the space.

This is not a glorious antique- it’s a rundown collection that belonged to everyone well lived, well-travelled and lost it all.

A price of everybody’s pastyours or a friends

Seminal reference to the past of lesser known neighbourhoods Simply put a place for people

44

Section from the inside

The project can be considered as a sum of ‘open interior’ and looks forward to a greater sense of belonging, making people responsible and making them take care of public space as if it was domestic.

45

The Cafe/ Bar is conceptualised to be a cozy local, go to place, reflecting personality of the surrounded happening place and the people.
