“Creativity is what helps me Escape a lot of my Inner Demons ~ Demi Lovato
Art has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. The freedom it gives is irreplaceable. Even as graphic designers, an artist who typically designs to please other people, I believe we have an option to put our own style into the designs. That is what makes art such a fascinating topic. Artists could use the same medium as each other, but the finished product has a high chance of looking incredibly different.

Just Believe Campaign Ad Campaign Just Believe originated as a brand that supported relationships through bracelet making. It has expanded into a brand that works to spread awareness about child depression. This campaign design is simple and informational. The campaign is also based off of a personal experience. In my adolescent years, the most common time for a person to be depressed, I struggled daily. Once I recovered, I found out that one of my little brothers started taking medication and seeing a psychologist for depression. My heart broke when my step-mom told me. The idea that a little boy who was known to brighten anyone’s day battles his own negative thoughts.
The magazine advertisements on the left are designed to show how difficult it could be to recognize a depressed child. It’s a 3-page piece. The first show the image of a smiling child, and asks the question “What Do You See?” When flipping the page, the viewer will notice that the image was actually being viewed through a transparent page. The third page has the actual image, and asks the question “Now What Do You See?” Underneath is the child’s story - explaining that they are depressed and why.
Facebook has become a space where people connect and really relate to each other. It’s also a place where bullies like to take action. That’s why a page was designed for this campaign. The idea of connecting with people who deal with children on a daily basis, and doing something to help prevent child deepression is the goal.
T-shirt designs are made for everyone of every shape and size. The are kept simple and stick to the blue color scheme of the campaign.
The tri-fold brochure explains what to look for when dealing with a child you think might be depressed, as well as how to treat it. The design is clean and simple, but still pleasing to look at.
