Hello hello key-uties! Oh my! It’s already June which means that summer is coming quickly and both high school and college finals are just around the corner so finish strong key clubbers!! We all know that it’ll be well deserved. In this month’s newsletter, we’ll be going over the events in the month of May. We have another member of the month who showed enthusiasm during the slow month of May. We also will be bidding farewell to precious our seniors as they put on their cap and gowns and head towards graduation. Might as well start crying now :’) Anyway, I wish you all a safe and happy summer and I’ll see you in my next newsletter! In love and service, Kayla Calso 3

Hey Key Clubbers! School is slowly ending which means that summer is here! I hope that you guys can stress less about school and enjoy the warm weather. Even though school is going to be over, Key Club still continues! We won't have weekly meetings in the summer but club bondings to make our club closer and stronger! There is definitely going to be a lot of bonding from the DCMs and club bondings. I've very excited to see you guys in the summer. Our last club meeting is going to be on the 14th! It's going to include awards, retirement of seniors, and the installation of the KMKC board. It's going to be a bittersweet meeting but I promise that it will be worth your time so come through! I want to give special thanks to those who helped out in staff appreciation. The staff appreciated our hard work and it was a good time for everyone. I would also like to thank all of the seniors within our club. Their key club journey in high school is slowly coming to an end and they have helped the club grow so much. Thank you guys for reaching out to underclassmen and making us feel welcomed. You will be missed but you will always be a part of Kent-Meridian Key Club no matter where you go. Thank you for everything and I wish the best of luck! In love and service, Lexie Lam 5

Why did you join Key Club? I joined key club at first because of friends, then I joined for friends and community service and meeting other key clubbers. Being class of 2018, what will you miss the most about Key Club? The thing I'll miss most about key club is the community service, spending time with other key clubbers from other divisions (shoutout to 33 I love my girlfriend) and Key Club brought all of my buds and I together. What’s your favorite anime? My favorite anime is Akame ga Kill. I heard you eat some weird things, what is the weirdest food combo you’ve eaten? The weirdest food combo I've eaten is anything I make at Jonn's for example; whipped cream with granola, fried banana, bacon, spam, and toast. 7
Hello Key Clubbers! In this month in review I'll be recapping what happened in May! The sun decided to return and that summer weather is starting to settle in. At the start of May there were opportunities to volunteer for the UW Night Market. Key Clubbers also had the chance to volunteer to help at the Blood Drive. Concessions also returned in May, which is a service opportunity that I enjoy. Later in the month we also had the opportunity to volunteer at the Husky's Help and Hope walk. The highlight of May was the joint DCM, where people from divisions 21, 22/24, 26, 27, 28, 32, and 33 were all able to meet in one place for a large DCM! I'm excited for what will happen in June and for school to end, good luck on finals to everyone, study hard and finish the year strong! Stay key-nected and make sure you're following all the social media accounts and the website, I've been posting on the KMKC Instagram and Snapchat lately so be on the lookout for that! In Love and Service, Elijah Suarez 8
