While the N.W.A. biopic, ‘Straight Outta Compton’ has been pulling in audiences and making headlines for nearly two weeks now, there have been a few complaints – not least from a number of women from Dr. Dre’s past! Singer, Michel’le and former TV host Dee Barnes have both criticized the movie’s failure to show Dr. Dre’s violent and abusive nature towards them. Meanwhile, Dr. Dre, aware of the controversy, issued an apology for his past actions, saying, “Twenty-five years ago I was a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life. However, none of this is an excuse for what I did,” Dre went on, “I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our !PO OCSlives.” YTIRBELEC YLIAD ROF However, Michel’le is not having it, saying of the apology, “I don’t think it’s sincere.” She continued, “I don’t really think it’s a sincere apology,” explaining, “I didn’t ask for a public apology and I think if he is going to apologize he should do it individually.
