NUCLEAR WEAPONRY Nuclear weaponry is used to cause mass destruction to the enemy. Fission weapons are commonly known as atomic bombs and fusion is often referred to as thermonuclear weaponry. After seeing the effects of the atomic bombs being dropped over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, governments have created the ‘Nuclear TestBan of 1963’ and the ‘Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons of 1968’. In Hiroshima, the death toll was over 40,000, with many more injured. Decades after the original Atomic Bomb, people have growing concerns about the advance in technology and the effect that could have on nuclear weaponry. Since then they have become more powerful, therefore causing even more destruction. Many countries all around the world have their own nuclear weapons, including; China, France, United Kingdom, Russia, United States, India, North Korea, Pakistan, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey etc.

PRINT & PATTERN
Camouflage is the ‘concealment of personnel or equipment from an enemy by making them appear to be part of their natural surroundings’, It involves applying colour and materials to military equipment, including; vehicles, aircraft and ships. By allowing this print to be applied onto the NBC suits, any sights of human activity will be kept to a minimum against any potential enemies. Having everyone wearing the same type of garment allows there to be no diversity amongst the military and the civilians. Camouflage has been a print that has been a trend in recent years, therefore more people can relate to it.

COLOUR PALETTE
Dark colours will be expressed throughout the trend, reflecting the mood all humans will be feeling. The colours will mainly be camouflage due to no one wanting to be seen, keeping to a military sort of theme. Yellow is one of the main elements of Fin, the classic nuclear warning signs will be located all over the walls of the fallout shelters, alarming anyone of possible dangers.

DAILY UNIFORM
A NBC (nuclear, biological & chemical) Suit is worn for protection against radiation. The suits tend to be made from either Tyvek or a heavy PVC that is completely sealed. In an emergency duct tape can be used to seal up any leaks or cuts in the NBC suit. Each NBC suit will be charged at ÂŁ70 each and available in a variety of colours/prints. They will be stocked in all sizes for both men and women, allowing everyone to be able to wear them. The suits will remain to be gender neutral, to allow no controversy to be caused. They will be available in all Regatta stores, alongside military style boots. The boots will be of a firm material and will not easily wear out, therefore can be used for a long period of time if needed to. They will be made of faux leather, allowing those who are vegan/ vegetarian to not have any reason to not want to wear them. They will only be provided in either black or khaki, bold colours that express the dark theme and match the typical military uniform. Recycled military equipment will also be offered in Regatta stores to provide garments for a lower price, particularly useful for those with a reduced income compared to others.

ACCESSORIES Fin is not like other trends. It is for practicality rather than to look fashionable. Only necessary survival accessories will be seen on individuals. Certain groups of people will have more than others, involving those in the military. They will feature extra equipment, including; binoculars (to see any potential danger), weaponry, flack-jackets and a radio, in order to communicate with each other. Children will be given extra allowances, including hair accessories being worn. There will also be no restrictions on make-up, allowing a slightly normal life. Everyone will carry a gas mask in case of an emergency, allowing a fair chance of survival. This will feature people of all ages, ranging from children up to the elderly. They will have training into how to apply the gas mask quickly, after hearing a sound of an alarm. Similar to those from World War 2, children will have gas masks displayed with cartoon characters on them, allowing them to appear not as frightening. If the gas masks are not used after being purchased, individuals will be able to take them back to the Regatta stores and receive part of their money back aslong as they are kept in reasonable condition. Nuclear War is not certain, but it is a possibility.

To the left it includes the type of items each individual would have to purchase in order to survive. The food has to be of a kind that will last a long period of time and that you can bulk buy, due to not knowing how long you could be stuck in a fallout shelter for. Any items that do not get used incase of no nuclear attack could be used for other activities e.g camping.

Depending on the country and the circumstance, some people could be living in their very own shelter, or those that are built for large communities. Most of the population will be based in those that hold a large majority of people. These sort of shelters are to be constructed to resemble a small underground town, with lots of space for people to manoeuvre around. Each individual will be allocated a specific job in which they will be based throughout the duration in the fallout shelter. Before entering the shelter, each person will have to begin a basic military course, one where they will have to be taught basic survival skills and how to put on a gas mask incase of an emergency.
TEXTURE Minimalistic textures/colours are expressed throughout Fin. The trend is based around living underground in order to survive, therefore the focus is not on pattern or decorations. Rescources will be limited, involving humans going back to basics. Bricks, along with metal and other strong resources will be used to build the structure of the shelters. From a nuclear attack there is the worry of some destruction occurring, with possible cracks starting to show on the exterior and interior parts of the

building. This depends on how much more advanced nuclear weapons could become in the future. Fin is considered to be a military operation, a subject that will be taken highly serious. The Army, RAF, Marines & Navy will be at the heart of control, therefore military uniforms will be used by all the services. However, for other individuals, camouflage NBC suits will be worn, in order for protection against any radioactive activity.

The app will be available to download on all Apple and Android products to coincide with the trend ‘Fin’. It is designed to notify each individual everything about the trend, including; the latest developments on the possible nuclear war, the type of furniture that will be situated in the shelter and what your life will be like living in the fallout shelters. It will continue to update itself every few days to allow extra sections to be developed and the individual will be notified when this does occur. The app will be available for free due to it being an important piece of technology to own. It will be laid out in a minimalistic style that is easy to read and control, therefore suitable for people of all ages.

EXTRA FEATURES Virtual Reality is a piece of technology that has rapidly grown in popularity in the last few years. Brands such as Dior have begun using this piece of technology. Dior is a highly successful brand, therefore the app could drastically benefit from it.For an additional charge, the app will link up to virtual reality allowing the consumer to be able to look into the fallout shelters. This will give them an insight into what life will truly be like when the nuclear war begins. As people will be living in the shelters for up to two weeks after theattack, it is a space that someone needs to get acquired to.
